Possession of the cursed Alpha King

“Burn her!" Tears streamed down my face as I listened to the people I once called my family condemn me to death.

“I didn't kill him, I didn't kill the Alpha," I cried out then turned to my mate, the only one I thought would've been on my side but he just stared at me with a scornful look on his face.

“Tristan, you have to believe me," I murmured as I tried reaching out to him but winced as the silver chain binding me to the tree burnt my skin.

Despite me being born without a wolf, I was still affected by silver.

“I don't have to do anything, Dahlia. You lost my trust the minute you decided to kill my father." I shook my head frantically as I bawled my eyes out.

“I didn't kill him. What motive do I have to kill him?" I questioned and I could have sworn I saw a look of doubt in his eyes but Valerie was quick to jump into the conversation.

“You always had a weird obsession with becoming Luna. You wanted Tristan to inherit the title quickly so you could become Luna, right?" She muttered and everyone gasped while I turned to her with wide eyes.

Valerie was my half sister and although we never got along because she and her mother always saw me as a burden after my father left me with them but never in my life did I think she would stoop so low.

“This is your doing, isn't it? You framed me, right?!" I screamed.

“I won't tolerate you blaming an innocent person for your mistakes, Dahlia. Your sister has been the one beside me during these trying times and she tried to beg on your behalf as well and yet, you try to put the blame on her? Who the hell are you because you sure as hell aren't the woman I fell in love with." He muttered as he shook his head in disappointment.

“It's all a scheme, Tristan. She…"

“Enough!" He boomed and silence lingered in the air as I stared at him with tears in my eyes.

“Tristan," I called out his name softly but his face remained as cold as ice.

“Admit it now and I might just go easy on you but if you keep denying it, I'll have no choice but to follow the rules." He muttered while staring intently into my eyes and it felt like his eyes were pleading with my to admit it but how could I when I didn't do it?

“I didn't kill the Alpha." I muttered while staring deeply into his eyes and he frowned. He stared at me for a while then took a few steps back.

“Burn her," He ordered and the guards immediately carried the torches while I kept my eyes on him as I cried bitterly. My whole body was in pain but the most pain I felt was in my chest. It almost felt like I was about to have a heart attack.

“Alpha! Sorry to intrude but you have visitors and they are requesting your presence." A guard uttered as he stood before Tristan.

“Halt!" Tristan ordered and the guards holding the torch immediately stepped away from me.

“Why? I can carry on without you," Valerie uttered as she turned to him and I frowned. Couldn't he see that she couldn't wait to get rid of me?

“I'm the Alpha and I should be here when it takes place. We'll continue at midnight after the visitors have left. Everyone is dismissed. Leave Dahlia there so she can think about what she has done." He muttered then gave me one last glance before walking away.

Valerie stomped her feet and huffed before she ran after him and I watched as everyone slowly walked away, not one of them casting me a sympathetic look except my best friend, Andrew.

I flashed him a small smile before my eyes rolled the back of my head as I lost consciousness.

“Dahlia! Dahlia! Wake up Dahlia," I furrowed my eyebrows as I heard my name being called with light taps on my cheeks.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Andrew standing in front of me.

“An… Andrew?" I choked out a sigh of relief.

“Thank Goddess, I thought I was too late. We need to leave before anyone notices that I gave the guards on duty sleeping pills." He muttered and I stared at him with wide eyes as he unlocked the chains around me.

“What are you doing? You are going to get in trouble by helping me," I uttered.

“And you think I'm going to stand by and watch you get killed? I'll never let that happen." He muttered as he unlocked the chains. They dropped from my body and he tried carrying me but I pushed him away.

“Tristan will never kill me and I'm sure he'll come to his senses soon" I murmured and Andrew let out a sigh.

“Look,I saw Valerie and Tristan kissing earlier today and rumors has it that they are fucking each other so I'd suggest you forget about him because he doesn't care about you anymore." I stared at Andrew in shock as I shook my head frantically.

“That can't be true, Tristan would never…"

“Do you really think I'd lie to you? We don't have much time. We have to leave now." He muttered then carried me in his arms as he ran towards the pack gate.

I hadn't even registered what he said earlier. Tristan and Valerie were a thing now?

“Your sister has been the one beside me during these trying times…" Tristan's words earlier flashed through my mind and an anger, hurt and sadness surged through my veins.

“I can't let this happen! How could they do this to me?!" I screamed as I tried getting out of Andrew's hold but his hold on me was strong.

“Let me go! I need to talk to Tristan. I need to hear this from him myself!" I cried out and he suddenly placed me on the ground and placed his hand on my shoulders as he stared at me seriously.

“Dahlia, get a grip!"

“How could he do that to me? How could he…" I choked up as I fell to the ground, clenched onto my chest. How could Tristan betray me this way?

“It hurts, Andrew. It hurts so fucking much," I muttered as I bawled my eyes out and he sighed.

“That's why you have to leave here because seeing him with her is only going to cause you pain and I promise, I'll do everything to make sure your name is cleared. We need to leave, now," He uttered then lifted me off the ground as he ran towards the gates.

I gasped when I suddenly saw guards behind us.

“Andrew.."

“Shit! We have been caught." He muttered but kept running with me in his arms.

“They haven't seen you yet. Leave me here so you don't get in trouble" I reasoned but Andrew still didn't let me down.

“Andrew, if anything happens to you, I will never forgive myself!" I screamed but he just smiled at me.

“Do not worry about me. The most they can do is beat me up, just focus on escaping." As soon as we got to the gates, he placed me down on the ground and the automatic gate was almost fully closed.

“Leave before it closes." He muttered but I shook my head as tears streamed down my face. I glanced behind him and saw the guards were already too close to us.

“Just tell them you caught me trying to run away and…" Before I could complete my sentence, Andrew pushed me through the gates just in time before it slammed shut.

“No!" I screamed as I scrambled to my feet and ran towards the gate.

“Andrew!" I banged my fist on the gate frantically as I cried.

“Go Dahlia! You have to survive. I'll be okay just go!" He screamed and I shook my head as I took slow steps backwards.

“I'll come back for you, I promise!" I turned around and ran as fast as I could. I wasn't running away with the intention of escaping but with the intention of finding help.

With every step I took, I could feel my body breaking down.

“No please, please…" I pleaded with the moon goddess to give me strength but the dizziness in my head and the ache in my heart was too much to bear.

I crashed to the ground with a groan as tears ran down my cheeks.

“Get up… fucking get up," I groaned as I dug my fingers into the ground, trying to lift myself up but it was of no use. I was too weak, my body was too weak.

“Help! Somebody help me!" I cried out as I slowly glanced around. There was no way I was going to die like this. I had to prove my innocence and I had to save Andrew.

I froze slightly as I heard the snapping of twigs. I turned towards it's direction and I sucked in my breath as a very dreadful Aura invaded my lungs.

I squinted my eyes to see who it was but could only see its shadow and figure.

I began to panic as the figure suddenly turned around and was about to walk away.

“No!... No please help me… help me. I'll do anything please," I pleaded with tears in my eyes and the figure halted in its step then turned around and walked towards me.

I couldn't see the figure properly but I could see it was a man and I could feel the power radiating off him as he walked towards me.

The figure squatted in front of me and I whimpered as he lifted up my chin with his index finger.

“Hmm, your scent is intoxicating, Little wolf. What exactly can you do for me if I save you?" He murmured.

“Any… anything," I managed to say and just before I black out, I heard him say;
