“Don’t patronize me,” he interrupted, surprising even himself.
Sienna arched a brow but didn’t seem offended. Instead, she studied him with a hint of curiosity, as if he was some puzzle she hadn’t quite figured out yet. “You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into.”
Ethan stepped closer. “Then tell me. Make me understand.”
She laughed again, but this time, there was something almost sad about it. “I don’t do love stories, Ethan. I don’t do romance, or grand confessions, or whatever you think this is.”
