His jaw clenched, a muscle ticking there.
"Magnus?" he asked.
I nodded, feeling an inexplicable urge to cry.
Something dark flashed in his eyes. "Sit. Eat."
I obeyed, perching on the edge of the bed and reaching for the food. Bread, cheese, fruit. Simple but enough. I ate slowly while Cassian watched, his brown eyes never leaving me.
"Why do you care?" The question escaped before I could stop it.
Cassian stiffened. "What?"
"Why do you care if I eat or not?" I looked up at him, genuinely curious. "Your brothers don't."
