Six hundred feet up, at his late breakfast, my uncle Rick's wineglass cracks in his hand. He sets it down slowly. He does not speak. The boiled quail-egg on his plate goes uneaten. And in a sealed dungeon cell my cousin does not yet know she is sitting in, Mabelle lifts her head — eyes red from screaming, throat raw — and feels the shudder through her rootwork bones, and smiles for the first time in two weeks. Morrigwen watches me bond.

They threw him in the cellar for days. There were many rogues and wolves captured down. Crysler there made a few allies to get the information about the Alpha of this pack. He is a rogue. He killed the real Alpha of the pack. AND took the territory. Wolf Alpha. It is his title of the most powerful Alpha on the continent. The werewolf is very powerful. Many tried to fight with him and kill him, but no one has the power to defeat him. He treats the pack members so badly. Everyone hates him, but no one can do anything about the situation.

“It is wicked.” He kissed the throbbing spot on her neck and felt her shiver. “Why would something so natural be wicked? You think it is wicked because the church wants women to only know their husbands. That doesn’t mean what we are doing is wrong. This is what we were made for. As long as we are both enjoying it, why is it wrong? Let’s enjoy creating some wicked memories to keep secret together.”

I was truly living the life of a side character, being treated that way by my own brothers. I picked up the pesticide bottle, twisted it open, and poured it straight into my mouth. "What are you doing?!" Charlie screamed in terror, his face turning deathly pale. Even the usually composed Lucas panicked at that moment. "Are you insane? Did you really drink it?" My consciousness grew increasingly hazy, and I thought, 'What's so insane about it?' The original character in that world, Maddison Sherman, was just a villainous side character doomed to die sooner or later anyway. I remembered that the original plot said that she was supposed to die there, but it was by suicide with a knife instead.

"What's she doing here?" The group of socialites visibly stiffened when they saw me. Everyone in high society knew about my reputation. I was known for being arrogant, unhinged, and untouchable. I didn't spare them a glance. Instead, I looked down at Vivian, who was soaked from head to toe. The floating comments began racing across my vision. [The villainess is about to lose it! They were usually broken from customary behavior and killed indiscriminately and heedlessly. Unfortunately, like any typical rabid beast that was driven to destroy, kill and tear apart, the rogues loved to get into nonsensical fights with each other which had resulted in their current number of thirty-two. The twenty witches they’d recruited were some of the sadistically wicked ones who happened to need various favours. They saw the promises from the powerful Wyatt warlocks as good as gold and were therefore ready to do anything.

She must be very out of her mind to think all of that is legit. "You think you have power over humans? Those people are scary and will do anything to get rid of people like us, yet you want to rule over them? How stupid must you be? Let me hear your story. Why do you hate my father so much?" Every villain has a story to tell. It’s either insecurity, stupidity, or just plain evil that is pushing them to do all of this. Either way, as boring as it may sound, I need time to plan my escape, so I will take the opportunity to listen to whatever they have to say.
