- *What is your inspiration in writing this story Er, well, I’ve already wrote a wall of text about it above. But if it’s about what still drives me to continue writing the story (despite the dismal views), it’s the encouragement from my friends, and also my stubbornness to not let Ley’s story die without his legend being created. * Alright, so that’s it for today. Hate can kill. I wipe my face quickly, forcing myself to think like a lawyer, not a daughter. Motive. That’s the first thing in any case. The writer had one. Maybe revenge, maybe jealousy, maybe bitterness over something personal. This note is proof that there was ill-will, and anyone who harbors such thoughts could slip poison into a cup. I fold the note carefully and hold it tight in my palm. “This is my clue,” I tell myself. A link. A path. Whoever wrote this did not only want to disgrace my mother; they wanted her gone.
