I steeled myself and opened the door. The hallway was awash in red. Smears and spatters of bright and dark blood covered the walls, the floor, and my door. My head reeled. What the hell happened? Why was there so much blood outside my door? Hadn't the guy in 603 seen it through his peephole? I couldn't help looking toward apartment 603. To my surprise, the door stood half-open, and it was dead quiet inside. I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603.

"Shit!" I clung to my Phantom Scooter's half-dead handlebars, flying over a hallway smeared with who-knows-what slime. Dashboard screamed in blood-red: 00:59. A literal death timer. "Overtime termination! Terminate my ass!" I roasted the system six ways to hell and floored it like I was chasing a warp zone. Third floor. Haunted High. The emergency lights flickered puke green over a ghost girl brushing her hair, back turned, dress in tatters.

“You’ll fucking pay for all your sins, Hayley. I do not care if I have to chase you to the depths of hell to make sure you get what’s coming to you.” When he turns to leave, Hayley calls after him; “Where do you think you’re going? Can’t you see that it’s too late?” “Oh my God. Guys…” Vanessa gasps, her horrified gaze fixed on something behind our backs. “Behind you.” Mason and I turn in the direction of the threat. My breath seizes in my throat when I find a raggedly, dirty looking Halloway standing just at the edge of the shadows. She looks like a creepy, horror movie doll come to life as she just stands there, completely unmoving.

In last year's Saturday before Halloween, Jake lied he had a cold and ended having to put up with his annoying brother at home. It's not that he was scared or anything(except from the dark). Hell, he was a big fan of horror stories and movies like Friday the 13th, The Shining, The Amityville Horror and his personal favorite, It. But who knew that the fantasy romance novel would suddenly get turned into a horror novel. 'Halloween's Party', a game where selected people gets chosen to participate in a supernatural survival game. Those selected people are called as the ‘Players’. It is said that if you complete and clear 'Halloween's Party' you will get what you desire. No matter the wealth, beauty, power or even immortality.

Damien told me that we had to wait until Samhain6, or Halloween, to teleport us to Hell, because that’s supposedly when the veil between the living world and the dead is its thinnest, and it would be the easiest day for me to attempt teleporting between realms since it’s my first time.
