I say, wrapping my arms around his waist. When I looked back up into his eyes, something like jealousy or anger flashed there, only to be gone the next minute. He shakes his head, eyes cold and distant. “I understand. Let’s keep to our date on Friday, then?” Frowning at his sudden change in demeanour, I nod then he gives me a kiss on the forehead before leaving. I watch as he walks away, confused as hell and ready to rip my hair out. What is it with these guys lately? Was I going into some sort of heat or something sinister that I should know about?

"Can I ask you something? Are you a stranger in the Red Lotus pack that you don't seem to reckon that Kara is the Alpha's ex and the very person that almost brought war upon us." Luscious slapped the table in excitement. "That is exactly what makes it more interesting to be with her. Rumor has it that she has turned a new leaf. She even saved the Luna from meeting a cold end. She has paid for her sins. And I really don't care about her past; those eyes have been charmed, and I don't want to ever be free from it." I gasped in disbelief, "You have really lost your mind. I think I have had enough of you for today. Please leave."

They decided to hook me up with Orlando, and there was no stopping them now. “Did you check your I*******m today?” Skyler asked. “No. Did I miss something?” I was so caught up with everything around me, and since everyone I was usually in touch with was here with me, I actually didn’t give a thought to checking my phone.
