Travis’ POV I was very surprised when Matthew called me asking about Tiffany and acting like he still cared. However, I was grateful for the extra help. Shortly after we got back to the house with alpha Cody in tow, Matthew showed up. Cody was very tall with bulging muscles, brown hair, and hazel eyes. He was a force to be reckoned with. He had gotten even stronger since the last time I saw him. He was excited to fight some lycans, he had never met any either. He left the pack to his second in command while he was gone, a hybrid named Jack. He was once the kindergarten teacher of Julia’s oldest son, little James. He had met his fated mate at Cody’s pack and decided to stay there.

Turning to us, she added, "Her room is right next to ours." Gia grinned, unabashed. I was quickly beginning to realise there wasn't much that could embarrass that girl. "Well, Ryan is pretty great in bed," she said smugly, waggling her brows suggestively. Her expression made us all fall into another fit of giggles. "Speaking of sex, Mateo is a stallion, too," Harper said, sighing happily, when we had controlled our laughter enough to form complete sentences. "TMI, TMI," I said. I definitely did not want to know how my council members were in bed. Sometimes, given how down to earth they all were, I often tended to forget that they were mates to some pretty influential people of our pack.

Now she is ready to be turned, into a vampire and hopefully werewolf. Which brings me to how I met my mate. Clara. She came with her brother, Alpha Hoyt. Jack got some lore on something he could try, but he doesn't want to risk it. Jess does. Jeremy is trying to talk her out of it, but who knows what is going to come of that. Matthew looked at Elianna, then glanced at Jacoby, feeling a bit awkward, he said, "Mr. Pendleton... do you... do you know her?" Jacoby clenched his teeth, his jawline tightened. He slightly leaned to the side and caught a glimpse of a phone falling beside the sofa. He picked it up and noticed that the video recording mode was on. "Damn it!" Matthew was so scared that he hurriedly tried to escape. However, as he was halfway through putting on his pants, he had just taken a step forward when he was pulled and fell

“But Lily… this is a rare opportunity.” I nodded again and stood. As I left the room, Maya caught up to me. “You okay?” she asked. “Yes,” I lied. I wasn’t. That evening, I stood in my kitchen watching Matthew sit at the counter, swinging his legs as he talked nonstop about his day. “And then Jake said I couldn’t do it,” he said, frowning. “But I did!” I smiled. “You always prove them wrong.” He grinned. “Like you do at work?”

The drive said as he pulled up to our safe house. Matthew got out and opened the door for me. Getting out was the easy part, getting Jet out was another. Grabbing his leg, I pulled with everything in me. Jet’s body moved an inch. On the bright side, if this takes me all night, maybe Matthew will just leave? Matthew watched me for ten minutes struggle to get Jet out of the car. After the ten minutes were up, he took pity on me. Grabbing Jet and slinging him over his shoulder like he was a sack of potatoes. “Lead the way.”

Jenna tapped on them to find messages from Luna. Luna: [Matt, are you okay? Why won't you let me see you?] Luna: [Shall we give up the plan? I don't want you to arrange a job for me anymore. I just want you to be safe and sound.] Luna: [Matt, I miss you so much...] 'Plan? A job?' Jenna pondered, confused. Just as she was about to take a closer look, Matthew, who was on the bed, coughed several times and was about to wake up. She had no choice but to mark the messages as unread and put his phone back.
