she grumbled.
“Good morning to you, too. How are you feeling?” I asked, and pushed a glass of my remedy toward her along with the two aspirin.
“Not as bad as I’d expected. How did I end up in bed with your mom?” she asked. I grinned at her, and nodded to the pills and drink. She popped the pills into her mouth, then took a swig of the drink. “Ugh! This is awful! What is this?”
“It’s a hangover remedy,” I answered while dishing out the scrambled eggs onto a plate that already had bacon, toast, and sliced banana on it. “Here,” I gave her the plate, “eat this after you drink that. It’ll get rid of the taste.”
