He hissed, "Wait! Before long, they will finish you all off." Jace growled. The monster's eyes squinted. His body started jerking and convulsing as he shrunk, folded, shrunk and kept on shrinking until he disappeared without a trace. He yawned like mist. Rain struggled to stand. She kicked the power cord that was wrapped around her leg. Jace pulled Rain's hand from the dark side of the warehouse. Jace jerked Rain's arm, so they were facing each other. "You want to run away after I help you?" Jace hissed as he held the injured arm and continued to bleed.

I was broken out of my thoughts when I heard JJ call out from behind me from the door. "How much do you wanna bet that you were thinking about being a Disney princess right now." Said JJ I couldn't help but chuckle. I ran to him and hugged him as I smelt his scent. His scent always relaxed me; there was a sense of calm that came over me, just like when I was in a triplet's arms. Cathy and everyone else thought me and JJ were boyfriend and girlfriend, but that was far from the truth. JJ has always been my big brother, protector, and best friend. As surprising as it was, I never thought we could be mates; that attraction wasn't there. I was sure he and Cathy were mates, no doubt in my mind.

Jenny made her voice sad. "But Aunt Dalia often told us that you tell her every day not to buy sweet foods so that your teeth will be beautiful when we meet again." Yazed enjoyed teasing her. He just wanted the latter to feel comfortable with him because she seemed shy. Jenny felt mad because of the revelations she heard about her youth. She suddenly felt upset remembering that her friend had made a promise before but didn't keep it. She gritted her beautiful teeth that she took good care of when she was young because of him. But now she stopped wishing to see him again. Anger lived in her heart now that she saw him again.
