The young Menian stood straight and confronted the huge male lion, wearing only a dirty white tunic, his sword, and an ax.
“Have you come for more food?” Fighting a man was one thing, but taking on a wild beast was something else.
The lion stopped and looked at him. It paced back and forth and then let out a loud roar. The lion was poised for attack; its hair set on end. As Yvayn pulled his ax to his side, the lion charged.
