Adeline's POV
We were set to move out of the Pack but the rain began to pour in no time.
The hazardous rain, the rain that seemed like acid, coursing through veins, shredding fleshes off.
"We can't leave now." Mom said, placing her hand on my shoulder.
I looked at her, nodding. "Alright."
My wolf wanted to take over, to go save the victims out there.
"I'll be back soon." I told mom who shook her head in disapproval.
"You can't go outside, Adeline." She warned, "it's dangerous."
I shook her head, in an attempt to convince her. "It doesn't hurt me, mom. I've been in the rain before now."
Reluctantly, she let me go and my eyebrows flickered as I heard the wails of the children.
I rushed into rain, gathering them in my arms. Surprisingly, the rain had no effect on them as they were in my arms but they were severely bruised.
I had saved many of them, rushing them under a thatched hut but there was a child who refused to allow me save her.
