Narrowing his eyes away from Jada, Leon looked at Dr. Matthew and said, "Now that that jerk is gone, I need you to start working on the paperwork to get her out of here and back home."
Dr. Matthew's eyes darted between Jada and Leon, his expression a mix of concern and confusion. He adjusted his glasses nervously, finding the right words to respond to Leon's demand.
"No!" Jada cried out. She focused on sitting up, ignoring the ache and discomfort coursing through her body. Her eyes blazed with defiance as she stared up at Leon.
"Mrs. Kingsley," Dr. Matthew interjected. "Even though it has been a month, your wound has not fully healed yet internally. So, I advise you to lay back in bed."
Ignoring his voice, Jada gritted her teeth, mustering every ounce of strength. The fire in her eyes burned brighter as she found her voice. "No, Dr. Matthew. I won't be held captive by him. I refuse to be with you."
As her feet rested on the floor, Leon's face contorted with anger, his control slipping away like sand through his fingers. He took a step towards Jada, his hands balling into fists. With a sudden burst of rage, he reached out and grabbed her, stopping her from standing up. His grip was tight, his fingers digging into her arm, causing her pain.
"You heard the doctor," Leon shouted. "Now stop talking out of your head and behave."
Jada's eyes burned with defiance as tears welled up in her eyes. The pain from his grip was excruciating, but she refused to let fear consume her. With a struggle, she forced her hand out of his grasp, her movements fueled by adrenaline. And then, in a swift and cathartic motion, she slapped him across the face, the sound echoing through the room.
The force of the slap stunned everyone into silence. Jada's hand stung, but the rush of empowerment surged through her veins. She shouted, "I said I don't like you! You can't force me to do so!"
Leon stumbled back, his hand instinctively reaching up to his cheek, the red mark already forming. Shock washed over his face as he stared at Jada, his anger momentarily replaced by disbelief. His eyes flickered with fury and desperation as he struggled to regain control.
Dr. Matthew, wide-eyed and speechless, watched the scene unfold before him. His mind raced, trying to process the rapid turn of events.
"Mr. Kingsley," Dr. Matthew finally spoke. "I think it's best if you leave now. Jada needs some time alone to recover and make her own decisions. I can not tolerate any more disruptions in her healing process."
Leon's face contorted with anger, his eyes darting between Jada, Dr. Matthew, and the door. Then he said, "Until she divorces me, she's my wife, and now that she's ill, the final decision about her well-being is up to me, so write the damn discharge paper."
Just then, the heavy door burst open, creaking on its hinges, and a sudden gust of cool air swept through the room. Jada's teary eyes widened as a group of men clad in black stormed into the hospital room, and her heart skipped a beat as her gaze locked with Chase's.
With a subtle wink, the corner of Chase's lips pulled upward. But then, his eyes quickly hardened as they settled on Leon, his anger smoldering beneath the surface.
"Drag him away," Chase ordered.
As if they were shadows themselves, the men closed in on Leon, their movements swift. Not giving him a fighting chance, they locked his arms behind his back, their grasp firm and unyielding.
Fueled by a last-ditch desperation, Leon struggled against their hold, his eyes darting wildly between Jada and Chase. His voice, filled with venomous rage, echoed through the room as he refused to accept defeat. "Chase Aniston, you haven't seen the last of me! You will regret ever coming for my wife."
While Leon got dragged away, his voice gradually fading into the distance, the room fell into a heavy silence.
Turning around to face Jada, Chase watched her laugh with tears in her eyes as she said, "You came back."
His heart skipped a beat at the sight of her radiant smile, and he stepped forward, closing the distance between them, and gently cupped her cheek with his hand. His touch was tender, a soothing balm to the pain in her head.
"You never have to doubt that, Jada," Chase said. "I will always come back for you, no matter what that will cost me."
Jada nodded, her eyes never leaving his as she reached up and placed her hand over his. "I want to get out of here, please." She whispered, "Take me to your house."
With a nod, Chase reached under her legs and lifted her off the bed, his strong arms cradling her gently. Jada let out a small gasp from the pain shooting through her body and the feeling of being in Chase's arms. Despite the discomfort, she leaned into his warmth, finding solace and security in his heat.
Looking at Doctor Matthew, Chase met his eyes that trembled under his gaze and said, "All her treatment will be done at my home from now on."
The doctor's mouth opened, then closed, as he struggled to find the right words.
Finally, his voice, laced with uncertainty, broke the silence. "Mr. Aniston, while I understand your concern for Jada's well-being, it's not as simple as transferring her treatment to your home. She still requires proper medical care, monitoring, and access to specialized equipment. The hospital provides the necessary facilities and expertise to ensure her recovery."
"I understand the importance of medical care," Chase replied his voice firm but tinged with pleading. "But surely there's a way to provide that at my mansion. I can hire a team of medical professionals to attend to her and set up a makeshift hospital in my house if needed. Jada needs to be in a place where she feels safe. For now, she feels secure with me."
"If you are going out of your way to do all that, then I can make time out of my schedule to attend to her."
"Thanks,"
With that said, Chase turned away and walked out, carrying Jada in his arms, leaving the doctor disoriented from the entire event.
When they entered the hallway, all Chase men stood in two lines, bowing deeply before following them down the hall.
As Chase carried her, Jada buried her face in his chest, but she could still hear the whispers of people walking past them, and she squeezed herself further into him to make herself small.
A faint smile crossed Chase's lips as he carried Jada through the hospital corridors. He could feel her weight against his chest, her warmth seeping through his clothes and into his skin. The whispers of the people passing them by seemed to fade into the background as he focused solely on her, the woman he loved, fragile yet resilient in his arms.
Finally, they reached the parking lot, and Chase gently placed Jada on her feet. The morning air was cool against their skin, a welcome contrast to the stifling atmosphere of the hospital. The sound of car engines and distant city noises filled the air as they stood there, frozen in the chaos of their emotions.
Jada leaned against the car, her body still weak from the recent events. She took in a deep breath, trying to steady her racing heart. The world seemed to blur around her, but Chase's presence grounded her, his hand gently resting on her back.
Chase's eyes searched Jada's face, concern etched in every line. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"No. I need a lawyer. I want a divorce as soon as possible." Jada said, raising her lashes to meet his eyes.

The morning sun danced through the lace curtains, casting a warm glow across the spacious room. Beaming, Jada stood in front of the grand mirror, her reflection a vision of ethereal beauty. The ivory gown hugged her slender frame, cascading down in layers of delicate lace and silk. A symphony of beaded embellishments adorned the bodice, shimmering like stardust on a moonlit night. As she admired her reflection, her heart swelled with excitement and anticipation. The room buzzed with the sound of laughter and joy as Sarah, Katherine, and Ivy, gathered around her. Their faces were aglow with love and pride, mirroring Jada's own emotions. With gentle hands, they carefully fastened the buttons on her gown, each intricate detail an homage to the love she shared with Chase. Suddenly, Sarah wiped away a stray tear that escaped the corner of her eye. "Oh, Jada, you look positively radiant. Chase is one lucky man to have you." "Indeed, my dear. Your love story is one for the ages. It warm
One Year Later The screeching tires echoed through the deserted parking lot as Ben expertly maneuvered the black car to a smooth stop. A symphony of engines ceased their purring, one after another, as the sixteen vehicles following in his wake mirrored his actions. For a while, Jacob, his sharp eyes never leaving the screen of his phone, got down with the other, and then he finally glanced up from the glow of the device. His commanding voice cut through the stillness. "Master Chase and Lady Jada are coming outside with young master," Men clad in impeccably tailored black suits emerged from the shadows, their presence commanding attention. They fanned out around the car, forming a protective circle, a formidable wall of security. Each man radiated an aura of strength, their eyes scanning the surroundings with a practiced vigilance. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting the airport in a hazy twilight. The flickering glow of the streetlights above bathed the scene in an othe
A look of fear crossed Jada's face, her voice quivered, and her eyes darted anxiously around the room as she cried, "The police... Why would the police come to us?" "Don't worry, rest yourself, and this will all be over," Chase said, stroking her cheeks to calm the stress that itched on her face. As he was about to leave the bed, Jada grabbed his hand, her grip tight and desperate. She looked up at him with wide, tear-filled eyes and said, "I want to come with you." "No, stay," Chase said, gently but firmly. "I am not some dog!" "Babe, you know that's not what I mean," "Stress is not good for our baby," "That's why I don't want you to come," "If I stay back, I am going to die from anxiety." Silence settled between them, the weight of their emotions intensifying in the dimly lit room, and Chase brushed his palm over his face and mumbled in his head, 'This is either going to break us up... or you love me beyond what I can ever imagine.' Then he nodded at her, a tiny smile
Panicking, Melissa sat in the private room of Greenland Restaurant, staring at Chase's message on her screen, "Meet me there by 12." But it was 12:30 and he had not shown up yet. With a scowl, she glanced at the empty glass, knowing that the bottle was also empty. Suddenly, the door opened, and in walked Chase. His eyes met hers and the was this coldness that flashed across them. "What is it?" Melissa asked worriedly as he sat down next to her on the table and put his arms behind his head, letting out a yawn. "You killed Maria, didn't you." Chase's eyes flashed dangerously in amusement, as a smile tugged at the corner of his lips, despite the anger seething within his chest. "You bought Lennon Haven, set a trap with Maria helps to kill Jada, and when your plans were falling apart, you left Maria in that building and triggered the bomb, blasting the building and killing her inside. Truth or truth?" Chase asked as a cruel smile played upon his face. "Who told you those lies?" sh
The sound of water dripping echoed in Leon's ears, reverberating through the dimly lit room. He sat in a chair, his wrists tightly bound behind the backrest, feeling the cold metal dig into his skin. The chill in the air seemed to seep into his bones, adding to the discomfort that already plagued him. As his head throbbed with pain, he struggled to make sense of his surroundings. The air smelled musty, like a forgotten cellar left untouched for years. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps grew louder, resonating in his ears and sending a shiver down his spine. The dread of the unknown gripped him, his heart pounding in his chest. And then, in one swift motion, the blindfold was yanked from his face. His eyes adjusted to the dim lighting, and fear washed over him as he found himself staring into Chase's cold, unyielding eyes. The look of rage etched on Chase's face was raw, causing a lump to form in Leon's throat. Before he could utter a single word, Chase's fist slammed into his nose w
