Chapter 15

I halted cold stricken to my roots. My knuckles whitened, subconsciously clenching the bucket and mopstick. Thompson noticed my tensed state, and it gave him the drive speak further.

‘‘You weren't with him in the restroom, were you?’’ The overlapping suspicion in his voice forced a lump of saliva down my oesophagus.

Thompson suddenly let out a silly chuckle, almost immediately. “What am I saying, there's no way you could have been in the same restroom with him.’’

“And why is that?’’ Annalise's arms dropped. Basically, she had been enjoying the show until now.

“Because why the hell?’’ Thompson yelled.

He seemed as though he battled with his thoughts against any possibilities of what Annalise claimed. He refused to accept it even though he found it plausible.

“You both have obviously lost it. I have nothing to say.’’ I managed to spill in one breath.

It took a dare from my adrenaline hormones to stop myself from dashing out of the study.

Once the door shuts after me, I race

Chapter 100CYRIL'S povI could understand how no one was deeply affected by Alessia's immobile condition over the past week since the ritual took place— after all, the ritual's been a success and there wasn't any transformations the past two full moon nights. But I'd appreciate it if they at least allowed me the space to get through it my own way. “You feel better now?’’ Lance queried, glancing through the rearview mirror as he drove. “Are there anything else on my schedule?’’ I ignored him.“Nope. That meeting was the last activity for today, which was why I suggested you left it.’’ He answered. I let silence dominate the air. Resting into my seat with my eyes shut. ‘‘Permit me to ask you this, my king.’’ Lance spoke. That didn't earn a bulge from me though. ‘‘Of myself and Alan, who would you prefer to be the appointed one who'd remain by your side and also couch the young heir through his teenage years?’’ My eyes were forced open to meet his expectant gaze on me through the

Chapter 99CYRIL’S pov“Why the hell did they let that scumbag in!’’ I stomped a fist against the car door. Forcing alam to cast a glance at me through the rearview mirror. ‘‘You've gotta calm down now. We're on the highway and you keep startling me, you know where that could lead us right?’’“What in hell could Alessia have told him, and just how much!’’ I pondered aloud, restless. “There is possibility that Alessia didn't tell him shit and he's just a douchebag….’’“Her maid should have that information, do you think?’’ I cut in. Desperate was the right word to fit in my countenance.“Uh…well. Unfortunately she's currently off duties. Besides if she knew something, you don't think she'd have reported to us?’’“Thompson mentioned about the rituals.’’ I asserted, unconvinced, so many thoughts running through my head in one crazy surge. ‘‘Pull over.’’ I demanded. ‘‘What?’’“Stop the car.’’ I said again. “Here? We're… literally in the middle of nowhere.’’ Alan chuckled unbelievably

  • Fated for the Lycan   SORTING TICKETS

Chapter 98Thompson's POVI must not blow this up. I'll do everything possible to find out what that dreadful secret he covers entails, and it'll be my ticket to have him do my bidding. Nothing pleasured me the most than his speechless expression, even though he did great masking his original emotion and reacting less to my tantrum. “Why do you stare at me like that? I want replies!’’ I snapped, getting disconcerted by his silent squinting gaze. “It'll be better you get him out of here, Crestwood. I have no explantation to do to neither of you, or anybody else in the world.’’ He stated blankly, unfazed, turning and resuming out of the room.“What the hell was that?’’ I couldn't belive my world. “Goodness!’’ Crestwood spat in disappointment. “I mean, did he take me for a joke or something?’’ “Why were you being all buzzed up? We could have gone about it a better way!’’ Crestwood scolded. ‘‘What other way? He has Alessia probably locked up somewhere in the goddess knows what stat

Chapter 97CYRIL'S pov“There's been a call from the mansion, Alpha Crestwood demands to see you immediately.’’ Alan barged into the room, his gaze dropping from me to Alessia.A silent sigh left his lips. “I'm sorry to interrupt, but I think it's really urgent.’’ He said.I remained, unable to move a limb. “I suggest you go with him.’’ Aloha spoke. “I'll be here with Alessia, and I assure you my king, that what she needs right now is far from medical attendance.’’ Turning to Alfred, she swatted her chin to the door. And like he had been waiting for a dismissal, he went on with least hesitation. “I'll be in the car.’’ Alan dismissed himself as well.“You should go on too.’’ Aloha dismissed tenderly. Why was everyone acting like she hadn't just passed on a nerve-wracking news? Perhaps they already knew about the situation?“I guess Aloha broke it down to you.’’ Alan spoke, swatting quick short glances at me through the rearview front mirror as he handled the steering wheel. “What

Chapter 96CYRIL'S POV“Can you just tell me what the fuck happened?’’ I growled, fed up with the sluggishness from each one of them.“I'm taking you to her.’’ Alan snapped out. I preferred he acted out than just keep quiet like I hadn't been speaking. “So why's everyone quiet? What’s the situation like?’’ I took the chance to ask, refusing to accommodate the ill thoughts from my judge of the expressions they had wrapped on their faces. While Lance simply kept his face low, his silence was dread itself. Alfred worsened matters with his worried and simultaneously sympathetic look. Both tailed behind while Alan led the way to the car.‘’You'll see things for yourself, Please.’’ Alan answered, resuming his walk. Lance and Alfred stood back while Alan joined me in the car. The ride would have been thick with silence if my throat didn't keep blobbing at intervals. While I anticipated the worst, I dreaded the reality that'd eventually present itself. “We're here.’’ Alan announced. Aloh

  • Fated for the Lycan   ALPHA'S MISERY

Chapter 95Thompson's pov“Long live the Alpha. May the departure of your beloved mate never bring a fall in your reign. Live on for more years by the assistance of your wife, our Luna.’’ Thales recited, with sympathy and remorse etched all over his old folding face like every other person in the memorial hall. “We pray thee oh precious moon goddess.’’ The crowd chorused. Turning from me to face the crowd in his flowing white robe, Thales declared;“You may now pay your homages to the Alpha's deceased mate.’’ I was fed up with having to go through all the process of Annalise's interment sessions. Sitting before the crowd of pack members who were only present to sympathize my loss with me, not to sincerely mourn Annalise's demise. Having them wear those fake looks of remorse on their faces when deep in their hearts they believed her death was only a price she deserved. I'd rather the interment process went on quietly without anybody having to force themselves pretending there wa
