“Quite hungry, aren't you?” His hoarse laugh was the last thing I remembered before his lips crashed against mine, but I had to admit that it felt so amazing. So amazingly wrong and yet so good.
So good that It had no right to feel this good, not with this man.
The kiss was sloppy and wet, and I hated how much I was enjoying it, how my body writhed against his, and I couldn't believe how much I needed this. It felt obscene.
However, it ended just as quickly as it started.
His hands hovered just inches from me, like he didn’t want to touch without permission, even now. His breath was warm against my skin, his knuckles ghosting the curve of my waist. And yet… he still hadn’t moved.
And that made me want to taunt him.
“You’re all talk,” I said softly, smug even, thinking I had him right where I wanted. “I knew it. You freeze when it really counts.”
