DRAKE POV

It had been seven days of silence.

Seven days of waking up to nothing but the cold echo of a house too big and too quiet. No little footsteps. No giggles. No morning voice calling me daddy. Just me. Alone.

I’d stared at the court documents more times than I could count. I couldn’t bring myself to tear them up, but I also couldn’t file an appeal. Not yet. The words blurred together every time I tried. My chest tightened with every sentence, every clause that said someone else might raise my daughter.

I’d lost her.

But not in my heart.

I sat on the edge of the couch, hands laced together, eyes locked on the photo on the wall. The one Isabella took of Eva and me in the park. Her arms wrapped around my neck, cheeks squished against mine, both of us smiling like the world didn’t have sharp edges.

I couldn’t let go. I wasn’t ready to be erased.

After pacing my living room like a man lost in a storm, I made a decision.

I had to see Isabella.

No lawyers. No shouting. Just me… askin

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   SHADOW

ISABELLA POVThe afternoon sun poured gently through the windows, but I barely felt its warmth.I stood in the hallway, arms crossed tightly over my chest, my back pressed to the cool wall. The words I had said to Xavier kept echoing in my head. You left me at the altar.I hadn't meant to throw that in his face..not like that. I was just...tired. Hurt. Confused. But he didn’t deserve the way I snapped. He had been trying. For me. For Eva.And yet, the second I felt cornered, I lashed out like he was the enemy.I sighed, pushing off the wall slowly, debating whether to go to him. Apologize. Or maybe just sit beside him. Be quiet. Let the silence do the work. Before I could decide, there was a knock..then the door creaked open.Xavier stood there. My breath caught a little. He looked calm. Careful. Like he had chosen his words before stepping into this moment. He didn’t speak at first. Just looked at me. Then he ran a hand through his hair, stepped in, and shut the door behind him softl

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   YOU ONCE LEFT

ISABELLA POVThe sun filtered through the curtains, casting soft stripes of light across the wooden floor. Everything was quiet. Peaceful, almost. But I felt none of it.I sat at the edge of the bed, still in my robe, hair damp from the shower I didn’t remember taking. My hands rested on my lap, fingers twined together too tightly. The silence in the house was heavy. Smothering.I had won.Eva was mine. Legally, completely. The judge had ruled in my favor. I was granted sole custody, just like Xavier wanted. And yet... I didn’t feel victorious. If anything, I felt... lost.A part of me had been waiting for a sense of relief, a sense of freedom. But it never came. The weight in my chest hadn’t lifted. If anything, it had grown heavier. More unbearable.I closed my eyes, and the memory of Drake's face appeared..his tear-stained eyes, the way his voice cracked when he begged me not to do this. The way Eva screamed after him as he walked out the door.It haunted me.I told myself I did w

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   THE HEMSWORTH

DIVA POVI sat in front of the mirror, brushing my hair slowly. The comb in my hand trembled, not because of weakness, but rage.My reflection stared back .. messy curls, smudged eyeliner, bruised skin still fading beneath makeup. But it was the eyes that scared even me… bloodshot, restless, hollow.I wasn’t looking at Diva.I was looking at someone else. Someone I didn’t recognize anymore.Flashes came back … sharp and cruel. Xavier’s hands around my neck, the cold metal of the cuffs, the sting of leather across my skin. His voice whispering commands, always with a name on his lips that wasn’t mine.Isabella.His obsession wasn’t hidden. It was loud. Violent. Inescapable. He didn’t want me.He wanted her. Her innocence. Her voice. Her presence. So he made me become her.I remember the videos. Watching her smile. Studying her laugh. Wearing her scent. Walking in heels I hated, trying to mimic the tilt of her hips, the softness in her tone. But no matter how hard I tried… he never saw

  • ISABELLA (The Night that ruined me)   WAY TO KEEP HER

XAVIER POV The court gave Isabella sole custody. It was everything I planned for. Everything I’d worked toward, step by step, piece by piece. And yet… I hadn’t won.Not really.I could see it in her eyes. She should’ve been relieved…happy even. But the woman sitting on the garden bench now looked more shattered than victorious. Her shoulders were hunched. Her eyes stared blankly ahead, not watching Eva play, not really seeing anything. She was here. With me. With Eva. We were the “family” everyone saw and believed in now.But I could feel it. The distance. The tension. The ache in her chest that didn’t go away, no matter how tightly I wrapped her in this carefully built life. She still loved him.No matter what Drake did… no matter how badly he broke her… she was still his.And that infuriated me.I took a slow sip from my coffee and pulled out my phone. My thumb hovered over the screen before I finally typed.“First phase is done. We got custody. But I haven’t won her. She’s still i
