“Sure you may leave,” he said as I left the room.

While I went to my room, I kept mumbling to myself as I insulted the rogues and complained about how I was going to manage my work and the pack training.

I went to my room, lay on my bed, and decided to close my eyes but I kept on seeing Erica's face.

“You miss her right?” Ace said to me.

“A lot and I always feel like a fool remembering what I did earlier, I allowed you to control me” I muttered to him.

“I'm sorry” Ace apologized as I continued to look at the ceiling.

THE NEXT DAY

ERICA’S POV

It was a new day and I didn't get the precise rest I required last night but whatever.

As usual, I left the pack house for a run, went back, had my shower, and changed into my work outfit.

I sat on my chair admiring myself as I looked in the mirror when Aiden walked in,

“Erica,” he said walking into my room.

“Oh, Aiden, hi, what's up?” I said still looking at the mirror.

I could see Aiden standing tall from the reflection in the mirror.

“I'm good, thank you, I came over to remind you of the invitation I talked to you earlier about, we are having a ball party to attend with one of the other packs today,” Aiden said to me as I turned facing him.

“Oh really, you told me that?” I questioned him.

“Yes, I remember saying that to you last night and you asked me to remind you in the morning before leaving for work” Aiden replied.

“Oh, last night,” I said smacking my hand against my head.

“I was probably not in the mood to listen to anything or anyone last night” I replied to him.

“Of course, sleepy head” Aiden replied to me with a grin.

“Hey come on, I need to rest, I can't remember when last I slept well this week,” I said defending myself.

“Alright, fine chill” Aiden said to me.

“So what pack are we having the ball party with?” I asked him as I turned back to face the mirror.

“The Crystal White pack” Aiden replied to me as I paused in astonishment.

I couldn't believe what I just heard, it all sounded like a skit.

“The what? I've heard that pack name before, I think...” I said with Aiden finishing off my statement.

“Yes, Creed, your new worker is from that pack” he replied to me.

“We're not going,” I said as I turned away from Aiden.

“What?” he asked in shock.

“I said we are not going to that ball party, we can't go!” I snorted as I became angry.

“Woah chill. And why is that?” he questioned me.

“Um, no special reason, I don't just feel like it's safe,” I said trying to control my rage.

“It is, those are one of the nicest packs there is, they're next in line with the strongest Alphas and gammas after our pack, so if it's about safety, forget about it” Aiden replied to me.

He did make a point there, but I didn't just want to go.

“When is the time?” I asked him

“By 8 twilight” he replied.

“Oh my, you guys can go then, I’d be very busy today and I don't think I'd be able to make it,” I replied to Aiden arranging my hair.

“Why do I feel like there's something you're afraid of” Aiden replied to me as he crossed his arms around his chest.

“What? I'm an Alpha and I fear no one” I groaned at him.

“Then you're coming along with us? Because it wouldn't look proper for an Alpha’s pack to attend a ball and the Alpha not be there herself” he replied to me.

“Arrgh! Um fine, I'll be ready by 8, tell the pack to be ready by 8 but as for now, I need to go to work and get some things done” I replied to him with a meh expression on my face.

“Alright Alpha Erica,” he said leaving my chamber.

“Oh my, Crystal White Pack? Creed? Moon goddess please save me from any evil eye today” I said leaving my chamber.

CREED’S POV

“Creed! don't forget that we have a ball party today by 8 twilight” my little sister, Eva said to me.

“We do?” I questioned her

“Yes with the Moon Walk Pack” she replied to me.

“With what?” I questioned her in shock with a halt on my mind.

“The moonwalk pack” she repeated herself once more.

“That's Erica’s pack,” I muttered, to myself.

“What did you say?” Eva asked me as I snapped back to reality

“Nothing, Eva” I replied to her

“Ok bro,” she said as she was about to leave.

“Eva wait, Please remind me later about the ball party,” I said to her as I got ready to leave for work.

“Alright bro, I'll call you an hour earlier before the party starts” she replied to me with a soothing grin as I pinched her cheeks.

“Alright I gotta rush, I'm almost late, I don't need the company on my paws today,” I said with a little chuckle.

“Lol okay bye, see you soon,” she said waving to me as I left.

I got to the office and fortunately, I made it in time.

I got to my workspace and immediately began to work on the files I kept previously. I didn't want them piling up.

While I did them I noticed how Erica walked past my workspace severally.

“Was she trying to get my attention??” I questioned myself.

I ignored her and decided not to make any move in order not to get her angry.

It was difficult trying not to look at her because she looked so beautiful.

She continued to pace around my workspace and finally left.

“Why did she do that?”

“She looked worried any way”

“Was she trying to get my attention?”

“Does she want something?”

Aiden’s POV:I stood stiffly near the door, arms crossed, watching the the truck vanish.“She shouldn’t have come here,” i muttered.Malric finally turned back to me. “Where is your Alpha?”I blinked. “Erica?”“Unless you’ve got a spare one hiding in the garden.”My brow furrowed. “She left this morning. Said she had something to handle up north. Didn’t say what.”Malric’s face stayed unreadable. “Alone?”“She said it was an ‘Alpha duty.’ She didn’t take any guards and even when I tried she wouldn’t let me go.”“Hm.”I hesitated, then exhaled sharply. “She’s been off since the ball. Quiet. Shut in. Moving weirdly,Snapping at people. She hasn’t slept at her chambers since after the ball too.”Malric looked toward the horizon again. The sun was setting lower now and long shadows stretched across the forest.“I feel it,” he said finally, voice low.“Feel what?” I asked.“A bad thing,” Malric said simply. “I need to see her urgently.”“What kind of bad thing?”Malric gave no answer. Just

The tires crunched over the gravels as the Packs SUV rolled into woods. The drive through woods was slow and heavy. Each sector blurred into the next…woods, rocky paths, old dens and so on.I knocked on doors of each territories. Asked questions. Some wolves shrugged, some promised to ask around, some just gave her that pitying look which I hated more than anything. No one had seen him. We checked a broken fence along the East Ridge. Nothing. We even passed the creek where Creed used to fish as a kid. Still nothing. Where could it be, I was loosing all my strength. Then finally, we reached the last place. Erica’s Pack Terittory. A big estate situated in the middle of the woods, quiet, luxurious and calm, I had always heard how big the estate is but I’ve never been here before and it seems their fact wasn’t exaggerated enough because it’s bigger than how I was told it was. I climbed out of rhe SUV, counting my steps and made my way to the front door, it was big and giganti

Jimmy stepped forward, arms crossed, he gave a stupid smug look on his face like he had the nerve to judge me.“Why do you care if he lives?” he asked. “Didn’t you want him gone? An omega for a mate? That was the joke, right?”I lunged at him so fast he hit the wall. I had him by the throat, my eyes flickering gold and then back to black.“I DON’T KNOW!” I growl. “Okay? I don’t fucking know!”His feet kicked uselessly against the floor.“I didn’t want this bond,” I snarled. “I didn’t want him. But I can’t…I can’t feel anything without him right now. And I hate it. I hate that he matters. I hate that he’s mine.”I let Jimmy drop to the ground, coughing and gasping.Silence covered the room. All I could hear was Jimmy stupid breaths. “You can’t use that shadow healer, you know that right? It’s a curse and you’ll get banished if caught”I was knee deep in dead ends staring down at Creed’s barely-breathing body like I was supposed to know how to fix this.At this point I was frustrated

  • MATED   Chapter 15

Erica’s POVI ran down the stairs, or should I say flew down because I couldn’t feel my feet touching the floor or maybe I just missed a step or some steps, I don’t know. Everything inside me felt like it was collapsing as I screamed without sound. The phone call still rang in my head, all I could hear echoing in my head was“He’s not breathing right,” “He may be dead, Alpha.”Creed, dead?Fucking Creed. I’d planned to kidnap him, not kill him. That wasn’t the goddamn deal.I hit the ending of the stairs nearly crashing into the railing as I turned the corner. “Erica!”I heard a voice, low and firm, I froze cold yet I could feel sweat drip from my face, “oh moon goddess” i muttered as I turned. It was Aiden, I looked at him relieved. He stepped into the hall like he always does, calm and composed. His brows drawn tight, his posture rigid.“Where are you going?” he asked. Not angry. Not suspicious. Just… watching me.I didn’t have time for this.“I need you to take over at the offi

  • MATED   Chapter 14

The ball began and everyone began to dance with their partners. While I sat and watched I felt a strange grip around my shoulders with a handsome voice “love to join me my baby girl?” I turned around to see who was that and it was “Dinerooooo!” I screamed hugging him back. “You silly wolf, you're back and you didn't let me know about it?” I said still giving him a hug. “I wanted to Suprise you,you know? I was invited here and told that all the alphas would be here so I called to find out if you would be coming and of course you did” he said with a grin on his face.“Oh dinero I missed you a lot” I said pinching his chubby cheeks“Of course you should” he chuckled, “may we have this dance?” he said gesturing his hand towards the dancing floor and we began to dance, it all felt like a fairy tale as the blue Cinderella lights shun upon us.*********I panicked out of my sleep to find my phone’s ringing again. “Of course, what else is going to disturb my peace by 6am in the morning”

  • MATED   Chapter 13

One of the other rogues panicked. "We weren't supposed to kill him! The Alpha will kill us!"“The Alpha?” I questioned myself trying to stop the gushing blood from coming out.Jimmy shrugged. "Don't worry about it. Let's just get him out of here."They quickly stuffed me into a sack, and I was lifted off the ground. As they carried me away, I heard a voice shouting behind us."Halt! What do you have there?"One of the Crystal White Pack's gammas, Lucas, had caught up to us."Just a statue, gamma," one of the rogues replied. "We're taking it to the ball for repairs."Lucas narrowed his eyes. "At this hour? And in a sack?"The rogue hesitated. "It's... uh... delicate. We can't let it get damaged the more."Lucas frowned. "I want to see this statue."“Gamma, gamma, we've been sent by the alpha and he needs us to repair this quick, you're wasting our time” one of the rogues said as I tried to make sounds to get his attention.“What was that sound? Did it…”“Uh…..Its me….. gamma, I was…..
