Olivia’s POV
It was a painfully long journey back to the Blackthorne pack. It was a journey marked by uncomfortable silence. Simeon didn’t say a word, but his presence alone felt suffocating. When we did get to the palace, I was relieved to get out of the carriage, which meant that I could leave the carriage and at the least I did not have to be stuck breathing in the same air with Simeon.
But Simeon had other plans when our carriage arrived at our destination.
“Let go of my hand,” Simeon held onto my hand when we had stepped out of the carriage.
“Stop fighting me,” he whispered harshly into my ear. For the sake of Jeremy who was watching us closely, I stopped fighting his hold on me.
“There is something very interesting I saw while you were away. I would like to show it to you,” his smile was devilish and told me that mischief was close.
“I'm not interested,” came my response.
“I think you will be,” he said in a low voice.
