Olivia's POV

I woke up sprawled out on Damien's naked body the next day. I had woken up to the shouts and screams, it was as though the guards were trying desperately to calm someone down or someone was trying to break in. The walls trembled faintly with the pounding and raised voices. At first, I thought that my mother had died but the noise did not sound like mourning, it sounded rather rough.

“Did you hear that?” I asked Damien who was just waking up beside me.

“The only thing I hear is your beautiful voice. Good morning, love,” he said as he kissed me on the lips.

“I think you need to check what is happening out there?” the noise had intensified. Damien groaned and said, “the guards seem to be taking care of it.”

“Stop being lazy. Besides, you have to leave my room now. It's morning,” I told him.

“It's just the crack of dawn,” he says with a yawn.

“I KNOW MY WIFE AND SON ARE IN THERE.”

I froze for more than a second and the next thing I knew I and Damien were scrambling for our c

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 113

Olivia's POV I had been pacing the room in slow, measured steps, trying to make sense of everything—my escape, Reuben, Jeremy, and the suffocating sense that I had only been rescued to be caged again. The walls were bare, the air was stale and too dry, so dry that it hurt my nostrils when I breath. The silence was maddening. We really had to be in the middle of nowhere because I heard no activity on the outside. I was certain though that Reuben had not left this place unguarded, this place had to be crawling with guards. That was when I heard it.At first, I thought it was just the wind filtering through the small window but I was wrong. I could make out the clear unmistakable voice of Reuben and someone else. I dropped to my knees and pressed my ear against the wall. I had not known there was another room behind this one. It was then I noticed it too—a jagged corner where the stone had chipped away. I pressed my ear against it, their voices becoming clearer. “I’m telling you,” R

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 112

Olivia's POV I must have blacked out at some point or the other during my rather strange escape. When I woke up, I was in a room with only a single bed and nothing more. The floors were rough and had no tile or marble and the walls took the same shape too. My heart began to pound in my chest. It did not look like I had been rescued, it looked like I had been kidnapped. I tried to stay calm but the more I tried to calm my nerves the more anxious I became. A million and one things ran through my mind. If Simeon thought that I had escaped, he would surely harm Jeremy. I had to get out of this place before that happened. I looked around the room for any available means of escape but the room had been designed in such a way that it was impossible to do so. The only window in the room was several fits high and was a very small one so that no one could squeeze through. Even my son would not be able to squeeze himself out of this place. I went to the door and I saw that it had been b

Olivia's POV “I have to say, Lady Olivia, you look marvelous,” Alpha Axel complimented my looks. With his hand holding my waist and a smile on his lips as though I was the only girl in the room, Simeon said as he looked at me, “sometimes I ask myself how I had gotten so lucky.” I was crying inside but I showed no emotion on the outside. I just stared blankly at everything. The only reason I had not bolted was because my son had been held hostage by Simeon. Alpha Axel left us to go and greet someone else. Simeon whispered into my ear, “smile, talk to people. You're not making any effort and you know what happens if…” “I understand,” I said quickly, mostly because I wanted his lips away from my ears. Even though it made me want to cry, I flashed my wildest smile and carried on as though I were the cheeriest person in the room.“Alpha Damien!” Simeon cried out. I knew the only reason he did that was so that he could gloat. The more time I spent with him, the more I hated him. Dami

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 110

Olivia's POV After a while, I had no fight left in me. The only thing left to do was to assess the situation with a calm mind. I walked to the window to check if there was a way to climb out, but below the window were guards that had been placed strategically there. They weren’t speaking, and they didn’t move, but they looked alert—like they were waiting for something. I also knew that there were guards outside the door. If I was going to have any chance of an escape and still have to look for Jeremy in order to save him, it would be impossible. The only other option would be to escape and then somehow find Damien so that he could come with me, and together we could rescue Jeremy.I laughed at myself. That was not going to happen. Besides, I could not trust that while I was away Simeon would not hurt Jeremy. Something had certainly snapped in him, and it terrified me how unpredictable he had become. His eyes weren’t just angry anymore—they were vacant, and it was like part of him had

  • The Alpha’s Banished Mate   Chapter 109

Olivia’s POV It was a painfully long journey back to the Blackthorne pack. It was a journey marked by uncomfortable silence. Simeon didn’t say a word, but his presence alone felt suffocating. When we did get to the palace, I was relieved to get out of the carriage, which meant that I could leave the carriage and at the least I did not have to be stuck breathing in the same air with Simeon. But Simeon had other plans when our carriage arrived at our destination.“Let go of my hand,” Simeon held onto my hand when we had stepped out of the carriage.“Stop fighting me,” he whispered harshly into my ear. For the sake of Jeremy who was watching us closely, I stopped fighting his hold on me.“There is something very interesting I saw while you were away. I would like to show it to you,” his smile was devilish and told me that mischief was close.“I'm not interested,” came my response.“I think you will be,” he said in a low voice.I followed him because I had no option. I could sense that J
