Three years ago, I let foolishness override me. I trusted the Alpha king of the blood moon pack too much. In my defense, Alpha Damien was the only one who didn’t treat me badly when the rest of the pack did. I was a cursed slave wolf, but Damien treated me like a treasure, and I fell deeply in love with him. But on his coronation day, he crowned another woman as his Luna and denied our mate bond. He urged me to abort our child, calling me weak and wretched. When I was framed for treason, he banished me without hesitation. I thought my life was over, but it was only the beginning. Years later, Damien begged for my forgiveness, but I had already found solace in the arms of Simeon, who saved me and helped me heal. As I look back on my past, will I ever be able to truly forgive, or will the scars of my past forever define me?

"Long live The Luna" I was hurt badly by what I heard, each cheer twisting the knife deeper. I trembled, clutching my dress beside me, my stomach churning with bitterness. I couldn't breathe properly.
I spun around, staring at the stage where Damien stood, his gaze avoiding mine. Beside him, Brielle wore the ceremonial robes of Luna, her smile bright and victorious. My legs shook beneath me.
This is not real. It can’t be real. Last night, Damien had held me close, whispering promises against my hair as he slept with me. "You are mine, Olivia. I will make you my Luna, only you." I had believed him, given him everything — my body, my heart, my trust.
But now, in front of the entire pack, he’s giving the title that should have been mine to someone else. The betrayal was too much to bear. A bitter scream rose from my throat, and I stepped forward.
"Damien," my voice was loud enough to be heard amidst the music gaining everyone's attention. The music stopped, and laughter died. Every head turned towards me. My body trembled, but I didn't back down.
"Damien," I whispered, my voice shaking. "You promised I’ll be your Luna. You promised me while taking me passionately!”. A ripple of gasps spread through the hall. Brielle stiffened beside him, a flicker of surprise in her eyes before she hid it behind a smirk.
"Did you believe that?" Damien's voice was sharp and mocking. He tilted his head, watching me with amusement. My stomach twisted violently.
"Did you think I would make you my Luna?" A cruel chuckle escaped his lips. "An Omega?" The murmurs around us grew louder. My vision blurred, my pulse roaring in my ears.
"You swore to me!You gave me your word!An alpha’s word!” I shouted heartbreakingly, the words barely escaping my lips. Damien's expression didn't change. "I was being kind to you," he said smoothly. "I gave you attention when no one else would. I let you into my bed, let you believe you were special."
He paused, his eyes darkening. "But don't mistake my kindness for something more." My entire body went cold.
"You were nothing but a distraction," he continued. "You are weak, Olivia, you are not even a full wolf. What kind of alpha would curse His Luna?" A sharp painful gasp slipped from my lips.
I felt like I'd been punched in the stomach. Did he just call me a weak omega? He knew how much the words hurt, and still, he stood in front of me, piercing a blade into my already swollen wound.
I couldn't breathe. My throat felt tight. My chest ached as I struggled to make sense of what was happening. I searched his face for something, anything that could give me hope, but there was nothing.
Tears burned my eyes. I turned and walked away, not waiting for the ceremony to end. I didn't stop to see their reaction. I couldn't see through my tears as I made my way to the back of the palace.
My legs gave out, and I sank to the ground, betrayal racking through my body. It hurt, he was my world, and he destroyed me.
As I stood there, a soft chuckle broke through my cries. "Pathetic!" I froze. I didn't have to look up to know who it was.
Brielle approached me, her voice dripping with mockery. "Pathetic!" she taunted, her tone grinning smugly. “You thought he loved you? You were nothing but a warm body to him."
I tightened my fists, trying to hold my emotions. Brielle continued to mock me, her words cutting deep. "You should show respect to your Luna," she sneered. "You are nothing without Damien's protection."
In a surge of anger, I stood up, my eyes locked on hers. "You are not my Luna," I replied angrily, my nails digging into my skin. Brielle's eyes flashed with anger, and she ordered, "Kneel before me, Olivia."
"Never!" I bellowed defiantly, my eyes bloodshot, a storm raging inside me. "You are not my Luna and I'll never kneel to you! Go seek that respect from whoever cares to offer it!"
Brielle's face twisted with rage. "If you won't kneel then I'll force you!" She lunged at me, grabbing my arm, but I instinctively yanked it back. Brielle stumbled and fell.
Before I could react, Damien appeared, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene. Brielle, quick to manipulate the situation, cried out, "She pushed me to the floor and tried to beat me up! If you hadn't intervened, she would have climbed on top of me and assaulted me!"
Her accusation hung in the air. I knew the truth, but would Damien believe me?
I wasn’t surprised by Brielle’s accusation. She has always wanted me dead, but what shatters my heart is he betrayed me because of her.
Damien's gaze swung towards me, a deep frown showing in his face. He believed her. Damien believed I would try to do such a thing?.
“You aren’t believing her, are you?” A sad chuckle rolls off my throat. A part of me wishes I’m the one misinterpreting the look on his face.
But Damien’s response was more like a decree hitting me like a brutal punch, "You do know the consequences of harming a royalty, don't you?" he said, his voice calm but grave.
"It's treason, and it's punishable by death..." He stepped closer, his eyes holding a mix of emotions. "But consider this my last act of kindness towards you, Olivia. Leave the Pack and never return."
My pulse stopped. Damien’s declaration felt like a blow, leaving me breathless.
“Did I just hear wrong?”
“What?”
"You are banished," Damien declared, his voice sharper this time.
The guards stepped forward, grabbing me with rough hands. I thrashed against them, my breath coming out in sharp agony.
"Take her to her quarters," Damien ordered, his gaze withdrawn from me.
As the guard dragged me away, I begged, "Damien, please...you can't do this." But Damien watched me in silence, his expression unreadable
A Fight to Surrender Simeon's POVThe last thing I had expected was for Olivia to show up in battle. I had expected the rear end of the battle field where my beta, Reuben was holding off to be completely hopeless only for me to hear my name and see her— and when I looked behind me, I could see that the end of the battle field was cleared off.I did not want to retreat because it would make me feel like a coward who could not fight Orion off and also because I did not want to listen to her, but she was right. It was a death wish and the best thing was to retreat and restrategize. So although reluctant, I told my men to retreat to the Southern Cliff. There was not much resistance from Orion's men who had been badly hit too. I knew they were going to strategize too. “When we were assembled at the Southern Cliff, I said to Olivia in a stern voice, “this had better be good.” I wanted it to be clear that I had not forgiven her and I was still very angry with her. She ignored the anger in
But I did not allow his sword to touch mine. I dragged the man closest to me in an attempt to block the sword aimed at me and instead of me, the man I had used as my shield died. The soldier looked horrified as he realised that he had killed one of his own. I took advantage of the brief moment to lunge my sword deep into his stomach. He had not seen it coming.Blood pooled at his feet as I yanked my sword free before his body fell to the ground with a thud. He was still gargling up and struggling to stay alive but the impact of horses trodding on him eventually killed him as the pain and weight was unbearable.A soldier thrust his sword forward, but I used my shield to block it. The impact was this close to sending me flying off my horse but I held on because falling off meant death. I used my shield to push his sword forward but he held on tightly. Luckily for me, my shield was made with reinforced metal and pushing with all my might caused his sword to bend and break at the centre.
Simeon's POV The nerve of Damien. He was by far the most infuriating and challenging person I'd ever had to deal with throughout my entire existence. He was a proud man who believed he could always get his way and that he was untouchable, and the moon goddess knew how badly I was going to teach him a lesson. Something was telling me that the attack against my pack from Orion was orchestrated by him. I had no proof of that yet, but I had every reason to believe so. Orion and I had always hated each other, especially over the disputes regarding the town because he wanted all the money the town was making to himself, but unfortunately we had to share it. We had fought over it severally and we had eventually come to a peace treaty concerning it to have equal parts of it, but suddenly he changed his mind and wanted everything? Bringing a war to my door?Yes, Orion was greedy. His palms were always scratching him to give something more no matter how much he had, but the timing was too p
Simeon’s POVAnother Plan“The son that you wanted to kill? The one you wanted absolutely nothing to do with? You are despicable!” I said with scorn. “We both know that the only reason you are taking care of Jeremy just to spite me. You want to raise my son to hate me,” Damien's voice was full of the hurt he felt and his hurt filled me with momentary happiness. “He will never call you father, so long as I live I will make sure of it.” Damien's POV “Why are you withdrawing your horses? You promised to provide resources to launch a full scale attack on Alpha Simeon!” Orion's tone was full of anger but I was not moved. I could not care less about how he felt when I had just been threatened that my son would never get to call me father. My mind went back to the day I had chased Olivia through the forest just so I could take her to the pack's doctor to get an abortion. What if I had succeeded that day? What if she had not run away to save the life of the child? My actions that day wou
Olivia’s POVThe days in Simeon's palace dragged on infinitely. It was obvious Simeon wanted nothing more to do with me while he continued playing father to Jeremy. It was rather hurtful to watch the man that once loved me begin to find me repulsive. As I strolled in the garden one evening, I saw Simeon walking just a few feet ahead of me. I hurried my steps to catch up with him, wanting to speak to him to see if perhaps he was willing to forgive me even though I have done nothing wrong. In my desperate attempt to have his attention, I stood in front of him so as to block his path. “Simeon?” I called his name softly and for a brief second I noticed a shimmer of warmth in reaction to my voice. “I have no interest in what you have to say,” he told me and attempted to walk away but as he moved to the side to walk away from me, I moved too in order to block his path. He looked irritated with this move and shot me a stern look as if reminding me of the consequences of defying him. Ho
“It appears that we have a common enemy,” I said with a casual tone that I might as well have been talking about a game of darts or perhaps chess. A tone that people used lightheartedly to discuss the weather and give complimentary greetings. "And who is that common enemy?" He inquired with a raise of his brows. I furrowed my brows and narrowed my eyes at him, wondering if he really did not know who I was talking about, or if he was just playing dumb. I could not really tell from looking at him, so I just decided to ask."You mean to tell me you have no idea who I speak of?" I folded my arms across my chest, my brows lifted at him. If he was ready to make me dance around this conversation, then I was willing to. I didn't have all the time in the world, but for now, I would act like I did. "I am a peaceful man, Damien," he commented drily, his eyes darting around the space before settling back on me. He sniffed, rubbing his nose as though it itched him before speaking again. "I do no
Damien's POVI gazed upon my Beta as though offended that he had even asked the question. Of course I had a plan, I always did. I tried to be one step ahead in every situation. It was how I had sustained the Blood Moon pack and had transformed it into one of the most powerful packs in the world. “Of course, I do,” I replied my Beta with a mischievous glint in my eye. I had a foolproof plan and nothing was going to make it fail. “You really want to make me ask?” asked Austin, my Beta teasingly. I laughed and replied, “what fun will I have, if I don't make you ask?” “Fine, do you care to share your plan?” he asked me. My lips stretched into a smile as I thought about the best way to present my plan to my Beta. Austin always had my back no matter what and he was the only person who had the guts to call my bluff. It meant that if I did not present my plan in a logical manner, he was going to see all the flaws I had not thought of and he would let me know unapologetically that my plan
Damien’s POVThe night air hit my skin, sending goosebumps through my body. I shivered slightly, walking towards the stable where I had kept my horse. The sounds of music and laughter from the hall was loud, echoing through the night. I huffed in annoyance as I approached my horse that was tied together with others. The stable boy ran up to meet me just to confirm I was not taking a horse that didn't belong to me and on recognizing me he bowed and scurried away. My mind had already begun to work out several plans that I could use to get to Simeon. It was going to be tough— no doubt, especially since even though his pack was weak, he was one of the strongest out of the weak ones. I racked my brain, trying to remember if Alpha Simeon had any enemy pack I could pay off to attack them and then come in as a knight in shining armor to help them, but of course— a daunting condition will be attached and he, out of desperation would have no choice than to accept. I smiled to myself as I led
Olivia’s POVI woke up the next morning to a peculiar quietness. The palace, which was always abuzz with early morning preparations, was eerily quiet. I sat up on my bed slowly, my heart pounding in my chest as I turned to look at Jeremy who laid next to me.“Mommy?” His voice was half asleep as he tried to speak.“It’s time,” I said softly, stroking his hair away.Brielle had poisoned the entire palace’s meal, adding a sleeping mixture to their breakfast. I’d been reluctant to trust her at first, but desperation forged strange allies and as promised, she had opened the exit gates for me, providing an unobstructed way out of the pack with my son.I took Jeremy’s hand, and cautiously stepped over the unconscious guards who lay stretched across the halls. Some slumped over tables, others collapsed on the ground, their breathing deep and slow. My stomach twisted at the sight, but I pushed myself to move ahead. The gates were swung wide open already to create an easy passage for me.I w
