KANE’S POV

The second night came and went and no sign of Sara’s whereabouts. I slept in my office with Logan drunk again. I have not seen my daughter since that day. I cannot look at her.

I know she will have questions about her mother’s whereabouts, and I have no answers for her. so, how am I supposed to look her in the eye and tell her that I do not know where her mother is?

As sick as it sounds, I woke up early today waiting to get another delivery even knowing that It will be another body part.

Somehow those small body parts tell me that she was still alive wherever she was. Getting them and not her body brought me peace. It’s sick, I know but that is all I have.

I looked at my beta still sleeping on the couch, and I felt guilty for keeping him here. He has a mate and a pup back home. Yet, he stayed here with me. he must think I am the same man from before.
