Lena's Pov

It had been two weeks of my stay in the Silver Fang pack and it seemed more cruel than I had ever imagined.

I wanted to scream. No, I wanted to rip my ears off and toss them out the damn window.

I hate this place.

The Silver Fang packhouse was cold, unwelcoming, and filled with wolves who either sneered at me or pretended I didn’t exist. But worst of all was the nightly torture coming from Alpha Kyler’s room.

I buried my head under the pillow, my entire body stiff with irritation. The walls of the Silver Fang packhouse were thick, but not thick enough to drown out the muffled sounds of pleasure seeping through Kyler’s door.

I clenched my nails tight with frustration,  my nails digging into the sheets as another breathy moan rang out, followed by a low, rumbling growl.

It sounded disgusting.

I sat up, glaring at the wall as if I could burn a hole through it with sheer hatred. Did Kyler have no shame? I  was stuck here, forced into this situation against my will, and he was parading his nightly activities like some kind of twisted power move.

Was he doing this on purpose?

I squeezed my eyes shut and tried to focus on anything else, but it was impossible. The rhythm, the gasps, the way his low, husky voice rumbled through the walls like a taunt. Three nights of lying awake, forced to endure the crude, shameless reminder of exactly what kind of man Alpha Kyler was.

A brute. A monster. A heartless bastard who didn’t give a damn that his so-called “mate” was stuck in this hellhole, miserable and sleep-deprived.

With a frustrated groan, I  kicked off the blanket and stormed toward the door, yanking it open. The hallway was dimly lit, empty except for the faint flickering of a candle on the far end. But the noise from his room was impossible to ignore.

I had had enough. I  stomped down the hall and slammed my fist against Kyler’s door, my breath in loud and unsteady gasps.

“Some of us are trying to sleep, you insufferable brute!” I yelled.

There was a thick silence which was followed by a deep and arrogant chuckle from Kyler.

The door creaked open just enough for me to see his face; smug, amused, and shirtless, his toned chest annoyingly perfect.

“Jealous, little omega?” His voice was a lazy drawl, teasing and cruel.

 My  cheeks burned with anger

“Jealous? Of what? The fact that I can’t sleep because you treat this place like your personal brothel?”

Kyler leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest, his golden eyes gleaming in the dim light. “I don’t recall inviting you to eavesdrop.”

“Your moans are so loud” I shouted,  nearly choking on my frustration.

“It’s impossible not to hear! Have some damn decency!”

He smirked. “If it bothers you so much, maybe you should sleep somewhere else.”

“Then let me go, allow me be” I protested, my voice echoing through the walls.

“You are sounding as though I brought myself here at the onset”.

He stared at me, a smirk plastered across his face.

“Then reject the mate bond” he mouthed, his voice almost inaudible.

I raised my hands to speak but was stopped by the loud growl of Anne, my wolf.

“Don't reject him, we need him to protect us, our destiny has been sealed with his.”

“I don't need anyone” I interact, bringing down my hands slowly.

Not as someone as Ruthless as Alpha Kyler, he was already faltering our mate bond, cheating on me with his bedmate.

Maybe Anne was speaking out of a place of pain. She was heartbroken from how Alpha Damian treated us, she just needed consolation but I wasn't ready for that.

I wasn't ready to settle for less. How can the Moon Goddess be so heartless to give Alpha Kyler as my second-chance mate?

I  lifted my trembling hands, preparing to sever the mate bond. “I, Lena—”

But before I  could finish, a firm grip closed around my wrist.

“Stop,” a deep, authoritative voice commanded.

I  turned, startled to see Elder Elijah, the only elder who had accepted me since I arrived at the pack standing between us.

His face was grave, his eyes gleaming with urgency.

Kyler’s expression darkened. “What is the meaning of this, Elder?”

Elijah exhaled, his gaze shifting between us

“You cannot reject him, Lena. Your bond is not merely a matter of fate—it is bound by a curse.”

I froze in shock.

“A curse?”

Kyler’s jaw tightened. “What are you talking about?”

Elder Elijah stepped closer, lowering his voice. “A prophecy was written long before either of you were born. The moment Kyler rejected his first mate, the fates wove a second chance for him—but not one of mercy.” His eyes flickered with an eerie light.

“This bond is a punishment… and a salvation.”

My breath hitched. “Punishment?”

Elder Elijah nodded. “For rejecting the first bond, Kyler was condemned to claim a mate not of his choosing but a mate tied to the moon’s will. That mate is you, Lena.” His voice dipped lower. “And if you reject him now, the consequences will be dire. For both of you.”

Kyler scoffed. “I don’t believe in old prophecies.”

Elijah’s eyes gleamed. “Then you are a fool.”

He turned to me. “Rejecting him won’t just sever the bond—it will awaken something far worse. The darkness that cursed your bond is waiting for one of you to break it.”

My pulse quickened. “What do you mean?”

Elijah’s voice was solemn. “If you reject him, you will both die.”

I gasped in shock, he looked at me and satisfied with my facial expression, he continued.

“I know how you feel, you feel as though you are being dragged from one mate to the other, your choices stripped off you but trust my words, you are the next Luna of this pack”. She assured me

Kyler cut her off immediately, “The both of you are just being delusional, the earlier you understand that I brought you here just to give me pups, the better for you”

“You can't be my Luna, Never!” He reiterated, his voice laced with finality.

I stood silent, trapped in a world with no choice of my own.

Vivian’s POVThe guard rushed into our midst, nearly tripping over his own feet as he announced loudly, “Elders, please! You have to hear this, it's essential!” he yelled in excitement. He looked like he might burst from excitement as he gestured for everyone to sit.One of the older Elders raised a brow in surprise.“Young man, sit down and speak clearly. Don’t dance around the bush.”Another Elder nodded. “Yes, we don’t have time for riddles.”The guard, Samuel, nodded quickly and dropped into the chair near the center of the hall. His cheeks were red, probably from running, and he was grinning like a fool.He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself. “Forgive me, Elders, and my dear Luna.” He gave me a quick bow. “While searching for Mabel in the forest, I found something worth our attention.”“It's a gift from the Moon Goddess..”“I promise..”The Elders exchanged surprise glances amongst themselves and then turned back to him.“What are you saying, young man?”Samuel reach

Lena’s POVMabel stammered as she stood before us, fear still clinging to her like a second skin.I could see it in her eyes—she wasn’t used to safety. She didn’t believe it could last. She stood there, barely breathing, like we were going to change our minds at any second.I stood back, my arms folded, just watching her. Waiting. She wasn’t feeling at home yet. That much was clear. And honestly, I didn’t blame her.“I ran… I didn’t know where to go,” she said in a broken whisper. “I was scared and that was how I was caught in your trap…”My heart tugged a little, but I kept my face still. This wasn’t the time to coddle her.Jax and Elias exchanged glances. They knew what I wanted to do. What I had planned.Jax stepped forward, voice calm but firm. “You were lucky, little one. You stepped into our trap, but now you are under our Luna’s protection.”Mabel blinked, confused.“And we don’t abandon those who belong to us,” Elias added, folding his arms across his chest.Jax gave her a lo

Lena's Pov "Come inside, Mabel," I said softly, stretching my hand to her.She hesitated momentarily, then slowly stood up and followed me inside the pack house. Her thin legs shook with every step. I could see how fragile she was, like a small branch that could snap at any moment.I led her to the large dining room, where the fire was already burning warmly in the fireplace. She sat at the edge of the wooden chair, her tiny frame trembling.Looking at her pale face and skinny arms, my heart ached. She looked both overfed and malnourished at the same time—her belly slightly bloated, but her limbs thin. I wasn’t sure what she had been eating before, but clearly, it wasn’t good.I bit my lip, unsure of what to serve her. The rogues had strange eating habits. They mostly survived on the flesh of wild creatures and, sometimes, even their kind. That was not something I wanted to place before this broken girl.As if reading my mind, Jax suddenly walked in, carrying a large wooden bowl fill

Lena's PovThe five huge men who were with me suddenly sprang into action. I watched as they quickly sharpened their swords, and the sound of metal scraping filled the air. Without wasting a second, they rushed toward the loud noise coming from the far end of the crowd.I lifted my head in surprise.“What is going on?” I whispered, my heart pounding.I turned just in time to see some men heading in that direction. They were huge. Their shoulders were broad, wider than any door frame I had ever seen. Their arms were like thick tree trunks, full of muscles that flexed with every step. They stood much taller than any man here, towering over everyone like giants. Their chests were broad, their waists slim, and their legs strong like pillars. And their faces… I had never seen men so handsome in my life. Strong jawlines, sharp cheekbones, piercing eyes that seemed to see right through you. Their hair was dark and perfectly kept, and they moved with the grace of trained warriors. Everything

Kyler's Pov“Kill him..” I heard a voice whisper in me.I turned around but there was no one looking at me.The boys’ eyes were fixated on me wide open as though they had just seen a ghost.“If you don't kill him, you will be forced to take responsibility for a child you don't love for the rest of your life..” The voice came again, this time louder. My eyes darted around the healer's room and my gaze landed on the knife kept on the table There was no one around here.If I slid this sharpened knife into the boy’s throat, there would be no traces left and I wouldn't be forced to love and live with a child I might never love for the rest of my life. That would relieve me of time and I would focus more on finding Lena.“Kill him…”I heard the voice whisper inside me again.I spun around quickly, but there was no one behind me.The only thing I saw was the little boy, staring up at me with wide eyes, like he was looking at a ghost.“If you don’t kill him now, you will be trapped forever.

Kyler's Pov I stood frozen as Alison's tears fell, her words cutting deep. "You wanted my son to die?" she wailed, her voice echoing through the room. The Elders nodded in agreement, their faces stern.“That boy is the future Alpha of this pack. You aren't supposed to treat him like an outcast.”“He is your son..”“The product of the reproductive juice that left your body..”From the corner of my eye, I watched Alison smiling sheepishly as though she had won the whole world to herself. She was enjoying the attention that she was getting. She was enjoying the way the Elders chose her over her.“That boy is a mistake..”“That night was unintentional.”“I wasn't in my right senses and I do regret everything that led to his birth so you wouldn't force me to show love to someone I don't love…”“That would be fake…”I yelled, hitting my hand against the wall.Elder Thomas talked back to me.“If it was truly a mistake, then you have to take responsibility for your actions.”“You wouldn't j
