Alison's Pov

Immediately after Elder Elijah stepped away, I stared at Lena in pure disgust. Even before now, every time I saw her, it felt like a knife was being twisted in my chest.

She had only been in the Silver Fang pack for two weeks, yet everything had changed. Kyler, who had always adored me, now seemed different.

Even though he pretended to treat her with indifference, I could see it, the small glances, the admiration in his eyes, which he couldn't hide, the way his eye followed her movements when he thought no one was watching.

And I hated her for it.

Yanking the bedsheets away from my half-covered body, my blood boiled as I headed toward the door to confront her. She had to be put in her place.

Lena had no right to stand here, arguing with Kyler like she was his equal. She had no reason to challenge him proudly even in ways I had never done before and act like she was anything more than what she truly was, a cursed divorced whore,  thrown here by fate to breed his pups.

“Lena!” I snarled, my voice echoing through the walls.

She turned, startled, her face still pale from whatever Elder Elijah had told her.

“You disgust me, Lena”, I spat, my voice laced with venom.

“Do you think you are needed here?”

“Why are you shouting and throwing tantrums as though you are worth anything?”

“Remember your place here; you were bought over by Alpha Kyler just to breed pups.”

“You’re nothing but a divorced whore, a cursed mate and I regret why you had to set your miserable feet in this pack.” I ranted, my voice sharp with frustration.

Lena lifted her head slowly, her gaze meeting mine. But instead of looking hurt, she looked calm, like I wasn’t worth her time, and her calm demeanor frustrated me the most.

How dare she?

As though my words weren't hurting her enough, I shoved my way past  Kyler who stood at the door.

“You think you’re special because of some stupid prophecy?” I sneered.

“Let me tell you something, Lena. Kyler will never love you. You’re only here for one reason: to breed him an heir. That’s all you will ever be.”

She let out a slow breath.

“And what are you, Alison?” she asked, her voice steady. “His bedmate?”

My stomach twisted in rage. “I have known him for years! I have shared his bed, his victories, and his pain. You don't think you could bring your worthless self from nowhere and steal away his attention.”

My gaze darted to Alpha Kyler. I expected him to support me, but he just kept mute, staring at us as though he was enjoying the whole scene.

“Just another reminder that Kyler can never love you.”

“The earlier you get to accept reality, the better for you.”

Lena crossed her arms, tilting her head. “Then why are you so threatened by me?”

I scoffed.

 “Threatened? Don’t flatter yourself.”

“Oh, but you are,” she said, taking a step closer.

“If I am worth nothing, why are you so pained by my mere existence, and why exactly do you think I am stripping you of Kyler's attention?”

“Do you think he may choose me over you?” She asked, her voice so bold that it threw me off guard.

I gritted my teeth.

“Can you shut up and get out of here? You feel so proud as though you are worth a fortune.”

“He can never even choose you.” I snapped, my frustration spilling over.

“Stop deceiving yourself, woman.”

“I may not be his choice,” she said softly, “but at least I’m his mate. You? You’re just a woman he uses when it’s convenient.”

Her words hit harder than I wanted to admit.

My fingers curled into a fist as I glared at her. Every word she spoke felt like a slap to my face, but it was that last sentence that sent my blood boiling.

"You? You’re just a woman he uses when it’s convenient."

How dare she?

My hands moved in a fast motion, ready to wipe off that smug look off her face.

But before I could strike, a strong hand wrapped around my wrist, stopping me in mid-air.

I turned back to meet the shock of my life. Behind me was Alpha Kyler, his face masked in a wicked sneer.

His grip was firm, almost painful, as he held my wrist in place. My breath caught in my throat as I turned to face him, expecting him to let go and let me put this whore in her place.

My wrist trembled in his grasp, but he didn’t let go. His grip wasn’t gentle, nor was it cruel enough to hurt me.

I turned to face him, my eyes red with anger.

“Let me be, Kyler. I want to put this whore in her place. I would teach her how to respect boundaries.” I growled.

But he didn't let me go.

Instead, he drew his mouth close to my eyes, his voice low and lethal.

"Never try that again."

A shiver ran down my spine.

Then Slowly, Kyler released my wrist, and immediately as he did, I yanked my hand back, shaking with rage. My eyes darted between him and Lena. He was still staring at me, his jaw clenched, which made me more sick.

"Are you being serious, Kyler?" I hissed. "You’re defending her?"

His response was a long stare, which made my knees buckle.

The silence was worse than any insult he could have thrown at me.

I turned back to Lena, my nails digging into my palms. She wasn’t even gloating, and that made it worse. She just stood there, watching me, like I wasn’t even worth a reaction.

"You’ll regret this," I spat at Kyler. "Both of you will."

With that, I stormed out, but her voice cut into my fury.

“You should just learn how to not disturb others with your loud sensual moans.”

I looked back at her, and without saying a word, I stormed out of the room.

Lena’s POVI was completely restless, so much so that I couldn’t sit still. My fingers impatiently drummed against the edge of the window frame and on intervals, I paced around my room. I was waiting for news. I was anxious, I wanted to know what was going on already. It was already evening and still there was no news from the girl who had returned to Damian's pack. The moon was already set in the middle of the sky, to show that it was supposed to be passed my sleep time but I didn't feel sleepy. If anything I was beyond giddy and dare I say hyperactive. All I could think about was one thing. One question. Did she make it?I bit down on my thumbnail and chewed the skin around it until it stung and I tasted the metallic taste of blood on my tongue. The girl, Mabel was supposed to have arrived hours ago. If she’d been intercepted…If they had killed her upon sighting her….I couldn't even think about it. On the other hand, if she succeeded, this would be my way to get my revenge on D

Vivian's POV Immediately I entered the room, I froze in my spot. Damian was standing beside the bed fully dressed in his Alpha attire. He looked so….not weak. He had even combed his hair. What??I was speechless. I could remember that I had put some potions into his soup. Why the hell was he standing there all hale and hearty?Damian noticed this, but he looked away from me and headed to the table where he picked up his rings and began to put them on. “Alpha Damian," I began, still not knowing what to say. “How are you feeling?" I chose to ask. I tried to make my voice as caring as possible. Damian let out a huge sigh before he turned to face me. “Better than I have felt in a while, Luna Vivian." He responded. I let out a fake smile and walked into the room. “That is good news," I said, still managing to keep my fake smile on my face. This was not good news. This was the worst news I have heard, it was even worse news than finding that bitch Omega, Mabel. “Hmmm," Damian said

Vivian’s POVThe guard rushed into our midst, nearly tripping over his own feet as he announced loudly, “Elders, please! You have to hear this, it's essential!” he yelled in excitement. He looked like he might burst from excitement as he gestured for everyone to sit.One of the older Elders raised a brow in surprise.“Young man, sit down and speak clearly. Don’t dance around the bush.”Another Elder nodded. “Yes, we don’t have time for riddles.”The guard, Samuel, nodded quickly and dropped into the chair near the center of the hall. His cheeks were red, probably from running, and he was grinning like a fool.He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself. “Forgive me, Elders, and my dear Luna.” He gave me a quick bow. “While searching for Mabel in the forest, I found something worth our attention.”“It's a gift from the Moon Goddess..”“I promise..”The Elders exchanged surprise glances amongst themselves and then turned back to him.“What are you saying, young man?”Samuel reach

Lena’s POVMabel stammered as she stood before us, fear still clinging to her like a second skin.I could see it in her eyes—she wasn’t used to safety. She didn’t believe it could last. She stood there, barely breathing, like we were going to change our minds at any second.I stood back, my arms folded, just watching her. Waiting. She wasn’t feeling at home yet. That much was clear. And honestly, I didn’t blame her.“I ran… I didn’t know where to go,” she said in a broken whisper. “I was scared and that was how I was caught in your trap…”My heart tugged a little, but I kept my face still. This wasn’t the time to coddle her.Jax and Elias exchanged glances. They knew what I wanted to do. What I had planned.Jax stepped forward, voice calm but firm. “You were lucky, little one. You stepped into our trap, but now you are under our Luna’s protection.”Mabel blinked, confused.“And we don’t abandon those who belong to us,” Elias added, folding his arms across his chest.Jax gave her a lo

Lena's Pov "Come inside, Mabel," I said softly, stretching my hand to her.She hesitated momentarily, then slowly stood up and followed me inside the pack house. Her thin legs shook with every step. I could see how fragile she was, like a small branch that could snap at any moment.I led her to the large dining room, where the fire was already burning warmly in the fireplace. She sat at the edge of the wooden chair, her tiny frame trembling.Looking at her pale face and skinny arms, my heart ached. She looked both overfed and malnourished at the same time—her belly slightly bloated, but her limbs thin. I wasn’t sure what she had been eating before, but clearly, it wasn’t good.I bit my lip, unsure of what to serve her. The rogues had strange eating habits. They mostly survived on the flesh of wild creatures and, sometimes, even their kind. That was not something I wanted to place before this broken girl.As if reading my mind, Jax suddenly walked in, carrying a large wooden bowl fill

  • Sold To My Second-Chance Mate   Chapter Eighty-Four

Lena's PovThe five huge men who were with me suddenly sprang into action. I watched as they quickly sharpened their swords, and the sound of metal scraping filled the air. Without wasting a second, they rushed toward the loud noise coming from the far end of the crowd.I lifted my head in surprise.“What is going on?” I whispered, my heart pounding.I turned just in time to see some men heading in that direction. They were huge. Their shoulders were broad, wider than any door frame I had ever seen. Their arms were like thick tree trunks, full of muscles that flexed with every step. They stood much taller than any man here, towering over everyone like giants. Their chests were broad, their waists slim, and their legs strong like pillars. And their faces… I had never seen men so handsome in my life. Strong jawlines, sharp cheekbones, piercing eyes that seemed to see right through you. Their hair was dark and perfectly kept, and they moved with the grace of trained warriors. Everything
