A warm feeling began rising within her.

She lowered her gaze, her head down as she tried to hide her reddened cheeks.

If Aria had heard those words just a couple of days ago, she would have been filled with anger. Now, she was filled with an emotion that she had never felt before in her life.

An emotion that she still couldn’t identify.

Lucien, oblivious to the thoughts racing through her mind, limped back to the cottage. He picked up his cane and walked straight to the bedroom.

When he walked back, he was wearing a long white leather cloak, similar to the one that Varion had, but his was made of fur.

Aria’s eyes widened as she saw him walk out. With a frown on her face, she took a step forward. “Are you sure you have to go?” she asked, her tone filled with worry.

Lucien nodded, he fastened his cloak and transferred his cane to his other hand. “Yeah, I have to. No matter how much I hate the old bastards. I know they wouldn’t call me unless it’s actually something important.”

  • THE BROKEN LUNA: MATED TO THE CRIPPLED ALPHA   CONFRONTING HIS BROTHER

Lucien tapped his cane rhythmically on the floor as he walked towards the large open gates of a castle that, just a couple of years ago, was once his.The loud sound of his cane tapping on the stone floor, echoed across the castle like warning bells. For the first time in years, the guards stationed by the gates bowed as Lucien walked through them.Just a couple of days ago, all of them had pretended not to see Lucien whenever he moved. Now that the news of his encounter with Varion had spread, he was beginning to not just be feared but also respected. He limped across the corridors of the hallways with his mind clouded and lost in thoughts. He had not walked these corridors in years, and he was glad that everything was just as he remembered.Lucien had been avoiding the castle, not because it reminded him of the power he had lost. No, he had been avoiding the castle because it reminded him of the Luna he had lost.Even now, as he walked through the corridor, he could still feel the e

  • THE BROKEN LUNA: MATED TO THE CRIPPLED ALPHA   SPOILERS!!! HER FIRST FIGHT

Aria’s heart pounded in her chest as she met the gaze of her attacker.Pain wracked her body with every single breath she took, but she pushed the pain down. She couldn’t afford to have it distract her.Not now, not when her instinct screamed at her to run. To move, to do something.Because Aria knew something, deep in her heart. She knew she was going to die if she didn’t find a way to stop the rampaging werewolf.“Ronan,” she whispered,He tilted his head as he stepped forward. He was in Lycan form. His height crossed seven feet, so he was a literal giant as he walked towards her.His eyes were blazed with fury, his claws were out and dripping with blood, her blood.“You... attacked me.” Aria gasped, the pain leaking into her voice. She tried to move, but her body was still in a state of shock.“You humiliated Lyra,” Ronan snarled, his voice dripping with venom, “My sister, my twin. YOU MADE HER CRY.” he growled,His words were cold, icy daggers that stabbed deep into Aria's heart.

  • THE BROKEN LUNA: MATED TO THE CRIPPLED ALPHA   SNEAK ATTACK

Aria walked through the busy market of the clawhold with a smile on her face. Snowflakes fell around her, the storm blowing her cloak almost off her body. The whispers were back and louder than ever. The news of the Vine Clawhold being allies had now made their rounds, so more people were interested in Aria.Aria could not hear any one of the whispers. She was like a cloaked storm.Gone was the little girl who used to flinch at every curse, gone was the Aria who used to bow her head whenever she walked among werewolves. Gone was the Aria who always whispered, always kept her voice low because she didn’t want to offend anyone.Today, as she walked out of the market and towards the servant’s quarters, she kept her head high and her shoulders squared. She didn’t flinch nor did she avert her gaze whenever she met anyone. Her expression was so serious that every servant or werewolf she passed turned around and gave her a second, more serious glance.Whispers followed her wherever she passe

Aria stood by the hearth, her arms folded across her chest as she watched Lucien walk over to her.“I can’t believe she actually came here.” Aria muttered under her breath, her voice barely above a whisper,“She won’t come to our home again, not after what just happened. Not after she was disgraced.” Lucien replied, his voice low but certain.“She will,” Aria muttered. She turned and stared at the dancing flames. “I know Lyra, I have watched her grow up, and I know how she thinks. What just happened was probably the worst thing to ever happen to her. She wasn’t just embarrassed, she felt pain. She is never going to let this go.”Lucien reached her and held her hand. “Let her.” he flashed Aria a smile, “She won’t be able to harm you ever again, and I believe you know that.”Aria smiled faintly, her eyes down as a blush rose up in her cheeks, “I love how you make all of this sound so simple.”“It is.”“No it isn’t.” Aria shook her head, “Lyra is not going to take this lying down. I am p
