CHAPTER 24

Daven's POV

“Axel?” I called.

Both Axel and Daisy turned suddenly towards my direction. I knew that Daisy had a task given to Axel. I knew that she was texting him on our way back from Bloodwood Pack but I didn't know exactly what she needed to do.

“Alpha Daven.” Axel turned back and bowed before me.

“What is he doing here?” I ignored Axel and asked Daisy.

“He's here on my invite,” Daisy replied.

“Concerning?” I asked with raised brows.

“I tasked Axel with retrieving Layla,” Daisy announced.

“You what?” I asked in surprise.

I wasn't worried about Layla's well-being, no. I was more concerned about what this would cause if that plan had backfired.

“Did he get her then?” I asked judgingly.

“Well, apparently not.” Daisy frowned at Axel.

“The prince came for her,” Axel growled.

Looking at him clearly I could see that he had blood on his left leg and was also clutching his shoulder tightly putting pressure on another wound that was there. Axel was wounded.

CHAPTER 36Daven's POVA proud smile spread around my face as my guests continued to pour in with each one of them bowing slightly in greetings and acknowledgment to me. “Congratulations, Alpha Daven.” Daisy cooed next to me.I stood with one arm wrapped around her arm and my other arm holding a wine glass. A wine I was sipping relaxedly.Daisy was dressed in a blood-red expensive and skin-tight gown that ran down to her ankles and subtly exposed her blossom whereas I was dressed in a black tuxie with a bow tie.“Do you think they'll come?” Daisy asked.“I honestly don't know,” I replied honestly. “But what I know and I'm completely sure of, is that everyone has a grudge against Bloodwood Pack and would want to go against the Alpha King. They just need someone to take the lead.”“And that's where you come in.” Daisy smiled.“And that's where I come in,” I replied with a calm smile. “They'll eagerly rally behind me the moment they hear my plans. Together we'll overthrow Bloodwood.”“L

CHAPTER 35Derek's POV“Derek! Derek!” Her shrill voice came down the hallway but I did my best to ignore it and keep walking. I really wasn't in the mood to talk to Emma now.“Derek! Wait up!” She called impatiently.I didn't slow down. I kept walking at my regular pace. If she wanted to talk to me she should try to catch up. I'd like to say that we were a perfect family and all but the truth is that we weren't.For some reason, my stepmom hated me and the fact that she didn't have any male children and I guess she raised her daughter that way too, to treat others like vermin. I didn't like being around them.“I asked you to wait!” Emma snapped angrily when she finally caught up with me.“Oh, Emma.” I feigned surprise. “I didn't see you there.”She knew I was lying. I could hear or smell her from miles away. She knew I was lying but I didn't care. I was just trying to recover from Layla's sudden outburst.“So what do you want to talk about?” I asked.Emma turned and nudged her head a

CHAPTER 34Layla's POV“Who are you?” I asked firmly and unafraid. Or at least that's what I'd like to believe while in contrast I actually sounded like I'd piss myself.“I am Malkin.” She replied simply with a shrug. “What have you done to my maid?” I asked. “What have you done to Clara!”“Oh, nothing harmful.” She smiled. “She merely resting. I had to shut her up for a while. Now if you'd listen, I'd like to finish Clara's story myself and what better way than to appear before you.?You've already met my sister.”“Your sister?” I frowned. “The moon goddess!” She snapped and for a moment her eyes turned all black and the room temperature dropped even more!I instinctively took a step back in fear of being frozen to death. Just as quickly as her anger hand mounted, it vanished and she smiled again.“Your maid was right.” She said. “I don't get the credit that I deserve. People don't often talk about me. You hear them refer to me sometimes as a 'he' and sometimes they just choose to c

  • The Luna Queen's Blood Oath   Chapter 33

CHAPTER 33Layla's POVIt was as if I had been blind all those years or at least had a blurry view and was only starting to see the world now in HD. I could see now and I still couldn't explain what had happened in my bathroom earlier that morning. The more I tried to remember what happened, the more the memory seemed hazy and blurry and almost as if I had watched the whole thing from the sidelines..The little I could remember was that my wolf which I've taken to call Sapphire had urged me to try something called a blood oath. Something that would give me the strength enough to take my revenge!Sapphire had urged me to let her take over, to take control of my body and I finally relented then everything became hazy from that moment and I could only remember returning to my senses with a wicked gash on my left palm.I was back in my room and for some reason felt really restless. Derek was only trying to help. Derek didn't really mean any harm and didn't deserve the treatment I had give

CHAPTER 32Derek's POVI moved quickly, tapping into my enhanced speed again so she wouldn't stop me even if she wanted to. In a flash, I was directly in front of her and grabbed her hand turning her palm up.There was a gash right there across her palm where a blade had neatly sliced, drawing out blood. She didn't need a bandage because now that she had found her wolf, her healing abilities were also upgraded but I could still see the wound.“What have you done?!” I repeated in horror. “Nothing.” She snapped her hand away from mine with a frown on her face.“Nothing?!” I was almost shouting now. It can't be anything. I knew what it was. I had glimpsed it from her thoughts! Layla had taken a blood oath!**FLASHBACK**“Are you sure you wanna go through with this?” Logan asked nervously with his eyes fixed on mine.“Yeah, sure. Why not?” I shrugged nonchalantly. “It's just a stupid thing either way.”“You think so?” Logan laughed, brushing strands of hair from his face.He was just 14

  • The Luna Queen's Blood Oath   Chapter 31

CHAPTER 31Derek's POVThe world around me seemed to pause when Layla walked into the throne room. She was dressed not in the usual manner my step-sister loved dressing and parading the corridors in expensive gowns and asserting Dominance.Layla was dressed in plain but fitting jeans over a pair of sneakers and a loose shirt that she had neatly tucked into her jeans. The thing was that her shape stood out clearly in those jeans and I couldn't resist the urge to keep my eyes on her swaying hips as she walked into the room.I was now sitting right beside Father on my own throne on his right-hand side while Evelyn sat on his left. Healer Tega stood before us already waiting and the last person to join us was Layla.“Good morning, my Alpha King.” Layla approached the throne and bowed before Father before turning to where Evelyn sat. “My Luna Queen.”Evelyn nodded curtly but I could see the tension between them. I could see the defiance in Layla's eyes as well as the disapproval in Evelyn
