“How is it going, Amor?” Mum asked as I got into the house and dropped the groceries on the top of the table. Through Donovan's help, I was able to rent out a lounge where I, mum and dad would stay instead of a hotel.
“Great.” I answered as I unwrapped the things I bought but I could still feel her piercing gaze on my back.
“Amor? Are you sure you're okay?” Mum questioned coming to sit beside me and I just stared at her. The next second, tears were rolling out of my eyes.
“Oh come here, darling.” She whispered, opening her hands up for a hug and I smiled in pain as I wrapped my arms over her shoulder.
“Tell me. Tell me about it, what happened? Is it your ex husband?” It was how fast she could decipher the situation that was marvelling and an awe to watch and I nodded, my face still on her neck.
