  She dropped to her knees beside Maya. The injured woman wasn't moving. Her eyes were closed, and there was so much blood. Rosemary reached out to touch her face, to see if she was still breathing."Maya, please wake up," she whispered, her hands shaking as she touched Maya's cheek.
