If it were only the thick, freezing breeze carrying needling air from time to time, it would've been manageable.But no. Movement, and the shifting of bodies on either side of me.My eyes are heavy, but the hold on my consciousness relaxes by the second. When I finally find the strength to lift my eyelids, I have no idea where I’m at. Well, sort of. We stop just across from it and my body soaks up the details it's been dying to focus on since the drive up here. The scent of cold, almost stale air fills my nose, combatted only by what has to be blood and nothing else. Though it's more Sage's job than it is mine, clearing the weaponry used for border patrol and training sessions is a lot less burdensome than being on the grounds and actually participating is.
