The Morning After

The Morning After

After waking up in a five-star hotel with no real memory of the night before and a black box full of fifty thousand dollars beside the bed, Audrey Holloway just wants to forget the whole thing ever happened. She deals with what she needs to, uses some of the money for rent, bills and groceries, gives a little to Nori, and tries to go back to her normal life. Two weeks later the same man walks into her restaurant like nothing happened. Turns out he’s this rich CEO with a bad reputation, and his grandfather is dying and basically forcing him to get married or lose the company. They argue every time they see each other until he offers her a one-year contract marriage. She says no at first. Then the pressure with her brother’s school stuff hits and she agrees. No love, no emotions, just business. They’re supposed to act perfect in public and go their separate ways after a year. But living together starts changing things. The arguments turn into something else. The distance gets smaller. And just when it starts feeling real, something from his past shows up and threatens to mess everything up. Sometimes the best love stories really do start with the worst mornings.

Chapter: Chapter Six
He walked down the long hallway toward his grandfather’s office, hands in his pockets, expression cold and unreadable. The staff he passed stepped aside without a word. Everyone knew better than to speak to him when he looked like that. The door was already open. His grandfather sat behind the large desk, oxygen tube in place, but his eyes were still sharp.“You’re late,” the old man said.“Traffic,” he replied, stepping inside and closing the door behind him.His grandfather studied him for a moment. “I saw the photos from last night.”He didn’t react. “And?”“You’re still living like a boy who has nothing to lose.” The old man’s voice was calm, but firm. “The board is losing patience. The investors are asking questions. And I don’t have much time left.”Vasileios' hands were in his pockets. “I’ve increased the company’s profits every quarter since I took over. That should be enough.”“It’s not,” his grandfather replied. “Money isn’t the only thing that keeps a company standing. Repu

Chapter: Chapter Five
“Miss Holloway, thank you for coming. Please have a seat.”Audrey stepped into the office and closed the door behind her. Her brother was already sitting on one side of the room, looking uncomfortable and embarrassed. Across from him sat another boy around the same age, with what looked like his parents beside him. The mother had her arms crossed, while the father sat stiffly, clearly not pleased. The Head of Student Affairs gestured toward the empty chair next to her brother.Audrey sat down without saying anything at first, her eyes briefly meeting her brother’s before looking back at the man behind the desk.“We’ve asked everyone here so we can resolve this matter properly,” he began. “As you’re aware, there was a fracas between the two students that resulted in damaged property and minor injuries.”The other boy’s mother scoffed quietly under her breath.Audrey kept her expression calm, but her fingers tightened slightly around the strap of her bag.The Head of Student Affairs con

Chapter: Chapter Four
Audrey stared at her phone long after the call ended.Bristol University. All the way in Rhode Island.“Jesus.” She let out a sigh, dragging both hands down her face. She was exhausted. Last night, she'd woken up in a five-star hotel after a one-night stand with a man whose name she didn't even know. Now, less than twenty-four hours later, her brother was in trouble.“I need to book a ticket.” She said she grabbed her phone beside her and started to check train schedules. The next available one is in two hours. She booked it quickly. She stood up from the bed, walked over to the wardrobe to get a small bag and shoved in some clothes, her charger—anything that was necessary for her to use. She still had most of the money from that black box. After a short hesitation, Audrey opened the bag where she had kept some of it, counted out enough for the train, a hotel, food, and whatever her brother might need, then put the rest away again.By the time she left her apartment, her mind was

I'm here!”A loud bang echoed through the apartment as the front door slammed shut.“Upstairs!” Audrey shouted back. The rapid sound of footsteps filled the house as Nori hurried up the staircase, rushing toward Audrey's bedroom. Without bothering to knock, she pushed the door open and stepped inside.“Audrey, why did you call at—” She yawned, pulling her phone from her back pocket to check the time. “—eight in the morning? You know I hate waking up this early. It ruins my whole mood and makes everything unbea—”“I had sex.”Silence.“...What?”Audrey sighed, combing her fingers through her messy hair. “I had sex.”“No, I heard you the first time.” Nori stared at her in disbelief. “You? Audrey Holloway? The same Audrey who swore she'd never get involved with another man after Dylan?”Audrey groaned, burying her face in her hands.“Well... at least you used protection... right?”The two girls looked at each other.“Shit...”Another silence settled between them.“...Do you remember anyt

“Fuck..” He slammed her against the bed, his lips fusing against her. A hand on her ass, pressing his hard-on forward on her. It sent a bolt of lust burning through her earning a moan from Audrey. Her hand trailed down, curious yet excited. “Ah-ah, not yet love.” He grabbed her hand and kept her fingers in his mouth.Audrey swallowed dry. This was an experience that she hasn't experienced before and she was living each and every bit of it. His tongue coated her fingers with his saliva, his eyes piercing through her soul. The air in the room felt heavy, thick with the scent of musk and the frantic heat radiating between them. There was something primal in the way he looked at her, not just desire, but hunger. The sensation of his warm, wet tongue swirling around her fingers sent a shock shooting straight to her core, making her thighs tremble. He finally released her hand, but the reprieve was short lived. His hand slid from her ass, traveling upward in a prudent way, tracing the cur
