Chapter: Chapter 3
Chapter ThreeBeing among a new family was one thing, but getting to know them was another.Addison stood speechless as the twins walked into the room, both dressed up in their own unique styles.Gabriel stepped out first. He wore a pair of black jeans held together with a belt, paired with a dark shirt that perfectly highlighted his eyes. His tinted black hair and sharp features gave him a mysterious appearance that was hard to ignore. Then came Gabriella. She looked like she had walked straight out of a fashion magazine. Chapter 2 Addison woke up and turned to her phone. The screen read 00:30. "How long was I asleep?" she muttered, pushing herself out of bed. Jackson asked from the other side of the video call. Addison bit her lip, contemplating the idea. "Okay, but I'll have to be back by the afternoon." "Why?" Addison stood up. "Mum's boyfriend is coming this evening, and I have to help her prep." She placed the iPad in front of her dressing mirror. "Aren't you working on a project, Addison?" She began to apply face cream. "Yeah, but ever since my dad left, I've always wanted Mum to find someone special." Jackson stared as she brushed back her brownish-red hair that cascaded over her shoulders. "I'll wait for you at the library at our favorite spot, okay?" Addison nodded at him. "Love you," Jackson said, about to end the call. Addison smiled, her brown eyes sparkling in the sunlight. "Love you too." She ended the call. She applied light makeup—just lip gloss—an
