MY EX WANTS ME BACK? NOT A CHANCE!

MY EX WANTS ME BACK? NOT A CHANCE!

Jocelyn Campbell had it all — power, love, and family. Until the night before her wedding, when it all went up in flames. Her perfect fiancé in bed with her cousin. Her empire hanging by a thread. Her heart shattered. Then came Daniel Steele — Ethan’s cold, vengeful stepbrother, a man who turns destruction into an art form. He offers her salvation, but at a price: marry me. What begins as a ruthless alliance to crush their mutual enemies soon ignites into something far more dangerous — desire. But in a world ruled by greed and betrayal, love isn’t just forbidden. It’s lethal.

Chapter: CHAPTER 23
JOCELYN’s POVI opened the door beside my room and got inside, seeing Daniel had been right. It looked very similar to mine except the fact that it was a little smaller, it was also painted in the same black. What exactly had the interior decorator been thinking? I went towards the window, admiring the night view and thinking.I didn’t know how long I was going to stay here, but that decision wasn’t going to affect the studio. Even if I only ended up staying for a month, I needed to have a complete studio, basically my dream studio. I went out of the room and to the one opposite mine, opening it and making my decision immediately. This room was bigger than mine and the windows were half-length. As aesthetic looking and beautiful full length windows were normally, I would need adjustable blinds or curtains to control the glaze and doing that here seemed better than the former room. The fact that I was the one that would be in charge of it since I couldn’t have any artisan come here was

Chapter: CHAPTER 21
JOCELYN’s POV“What’s the update on the investigation?” Daniel asked, but like I’d done since I’d survived getting into the car, my eyes remained closed, and I didn’t respond. Not intentionally though, my mind wasn’t on him and so, the question wasn’t even registering in my head. To say I was in a bad mood would be an understatement. Throughout, the day, my face had been in a permanent scowl as I’d thought and thought of ways to save myself. I could envision my happiness being ruined on the day of the show by an article, and the worst part of it was, it made perfect sense. We had just about three weeks to the show and advertisement was set to start that week, meaning both the company name and mine wouldn’t be leaving the minds of people. And I was well aware, the best way to make money was by talking about other people. The only thing that was going to save me was someone more influential doing something even crazier.Had the car stopped moving? I opened my eyes to see that, indeed, w

Chapter: CHAPTER 20
JOCELYN’s POVI entered the boardroom and immediately turned to Harvey with questions and accusations in my eyes. I’d intentionally made sure to come ten minutes before the scheduled time, but the fact that all twenty-two pair of eyes rose to me immediately I opened the door told me I’d either gotten the wrong time. Or it had been shifted earlier, and I hadn’t been informed.Ethan’s voice rang out. “Have your seat, Jocelyn. The board just decided to come even earlier to discuss their stand on the matter on ground. You know how serious it is.”I took a deep breath and glanced at Harvey again, this time with apology, and she nodded. I went to sit down and stared at the people that were looking at me, some with judgment but most with satisfaction. Did they think this was going to bring me down? They shouldn’t make judgments that hastily, though.“So what’s the purpose of this board meeting and why exactly was I excluded from the beginning?” I asked, infusing as much authority as I could.

Chapter: CHAPTER 19
JOCELYN’s POVI leaned against a wall and closed my eyes, trying to reorient myself. The flashes and yells of questions were even more unbearable today. I opened my eyes after a few minutes and, ignoring the employees that were staring at me, headed to my office, whistling. At the very least, I’d survived the morning I’d been dreading since yesterday, the thought of this morning had robbed me of my sleep. But life had to happen, and my happy bubble was burst. I tried ignoring Clarissa and staying on my path to my office, but she came to stand in front of me, her arms in front of her chest and eyes shooting daggers at me. Even though I was aware of the fact that my being doxxed had affected her, I firmly believed she had no right to get angry with me. She was the cause of everything, and the thought of the text she’d sent to me yesterday still made me want to clench both my jaws and fists, so I won’t accidentally punch her in the face. I crossed my arm in front of my chest as well. Sh

DANIEL’s POV“Fine. Under one condition.” I said, and Jocelyn turned to me. I could see her pleased expression, and it made some of the anger I was feeling leave me.“What condition?” She asked.I went back to sit down and pointed at the couch that sat adjacent to my table and beside my shelf. “Have your seat.”She frowned as she went to sit down. “The condition.” She started and I smiled. It seemed like she had just remembered the last condition I’d given her and what she’d had to do.“It’s not as difficult as getting married.” I said, my voice intentionally cheerful,“Fine, then what is it?” I picked my phone up from the table and stretched it to her, but she shook her head. “Let me hear the condition first. What crazy thing will you ask for now?”I put my hand on my heart as if it hurt. “What do you mean by crazy things? Don’t you trust me?”She locked eyes with me as she responded. “Of course not.”I nodded with a smile. “That’s good. You should also act like that towards everyon

CHASING MY EX-CONTRACT WIFE

CHASING MY EX-CONTRACT WIFE

“Brent, please, I didnt cheat on you!” “Shut up!” Here I was begging a man who was a cheat himself— begging him to believe me and take him back. Despite the fact that he had been the one that cheated. But where had the compromising pictures come from? “I can't — I can't b-believe you're choosing your ex over me, Brent! I'm your wife! Your wife!” “Not only have you ruined my reputation, you have ruined my family's name as well. I wish I can erase you and everything we have together from my memories,” he growled at me. “You'll pay for what you've done, Priscilla. I promise you.” “Brent, you have to believe me,” I wept, summoning up the courage to clutch at his arm but he snatched it away from me, making me fall back violently against the table. He produced a set of papers and a pen and slammed them down onto he table. “Divorce papers. I want them signed. Now.” ***************** Sent packing by her husband when she was two months pregnant, Priscilla Sinclair had no one to turn to so she buried herself in her work. Six years later, she met the father of her children who wants her and his kids back. Could there be a chance for him in her life again?

BRENT’S POVThe minute she bolted for the guest bathroom, I knew I'd caught her red handed. She didn't seem to have suspected that I was aware but I was well informed about all of her plans. It took a while for me to accept that she could do such but I wasn't going to let my woman get hurt due to my assistant's psychotic behavior. “I need everything ready.” I said to the intercom before leaving the room. I headed to my security room to watch the spy camera installed in my room. Seeing how frantic she'd been while trying to get rid of the camera she installed in my room, I guessed that would keep her hooked for the time being while I got the rest of her punishment prepared. I was yet to decide what I would do to her but torture was definitely top on my list. No one messes with me and gets away with it. She rushed back into my room and started calling out for me. When she saw that I wasn't in, she proceeded to start viciously attacking the camera like I'd predicted. My hands clen

EVELYN’S POV “This is the last time I'll be saying it. You either take her or kill her. I don't care what you have to do, take her or kill her.” I instructed my men before leaving home. Something told me to do this, just in case things try to go out of proportion. “What are we to do when we take her, ma’am?” One of the men asked. “What else? Kill her, of course. Do you think I care if she lives? The goal is to have her dead and out of my way, so you'd better do your job well.” I said and dismissed them. “Where are you going in such a frenzy? Are you okay?” Ruby asked as I threw on some clothes. My heart was in pure panic but I couldn't let that reflect on my face. “I had to be at Brent's. There's something I can't let him find.” I responded, grabbing my car keys. I sped out of the house in my car with my hands trembling on the steering wheels. “You've got this, Eve. You've got it.” I muttered to myself. The minute I pulled up to Brent's house, I rushed in without parking p

PRISCILLA’S POVNo! No! No! This can't be! No!” I exclaimed in shock whilst staring at the pictures on my phone. When I opened the message at first, I thought it was a random mistake from a stranger but I found the video and my heart crumbled. Tears were already gushing out of my eyes while I held my hand over my mouth to prevent my cries from making it out. His face had pleasure all over it as she bounced on his throbbing member. “How could he do this to me?” I thought, still in shock. I recalled it to have happened on the night of Evelyn's party, which means he saw her at the party and hid it from me. More tears rushed out of my eyes as I skimmed through the pictures of the pregnancy test kits. It had blue lines, meaning she was pregnant with his baby. “How could you do this to me?” I cried silently and broke down to the floor. My body shook violently with tears. My vision was clouded by the tears rushing out of my eyes but I couldn't stop myself from staring at the pictures

PAMELA’S POVAfter the call with Brent, I felt heat rising up in every part of my body despite the air conditioning in the room. I paced around the room as worry and fear filled up my chest. I tried severally to reach Evelyn but her phone was surprisingly off. “Oh goodness, don't tell me I'm in this mess alone. What should I do?” I groaned loudly. I sat on the bed with my head in my hand while tears hung at the brim of my eyes. His words echoed in my head again and each time, it gave me the thought that he had found out the truth. “I can't lose like this.” I muttered knowing I was either alone at this point or dead if Brent found me. I rushed to my door and locked it tight, in fear that one of Brent's men could burst in through the door and kill me. “Calm down, Pamela. You have to think this through.” I whispered to myself again. I was losing my mind so everything felt strange to me, like I was in the middle of a burning maze with no escape route. I tried calling Evelyn again

PRISCILLA’S POVThat was strange.” I muttered and returned to working but I couldn't get the thoughts off my mind. His words felt like a soothing balm over my wounds, I smiled a little, letting myself fall for him all over again. “What's making you smile so hard?” Claire's voice appeared from the kitchen. I turned and found her smiling as well. Her hair was ruffled and she had eye bags heavy enough to hold water. She clearly eiffored a boatload of jet lag.Claire gave me a surprise yesterday by coming into New York without informing me. I had no idea that all these while she'd been claiming to be busy, she was putting things in place for her arrival in New York. “Is it who I think it is?” She asked with a bigger teasing smile. “Girl, please, I'm just trying to cook.” I refuted, despite smiling hard. “The smile on your face is saying an entirely different thing. Did he make you smile again? Or are you just obsessed with thinking about him?” She asked and I laughed. “It's either
