Chapter 21 The Man In The Dark

Blue's POV

I don't know what time we reached home. I don't even know how I got inside my room in his penthouse. After I heard what he said inside that room in the hospital, I felt like something inside me, particularly my heart broke. I don't understand but there's only one answer to this. I like him already. This is insane because liking him isn't part of my plan. I just have to make him fall in love with me within 100 days and make him obedient to his father. That's all. That's my job. This setup, this engagement is purely a negotiation and I hate myself for ending up liking him.

After taking a quick bath, I went to the kitchen because I'm really starving. I'm expecting Nicholas in the kitchen but his assistant Balthazar is there instead.

I roamed my eyes around, unconsciously looking for Nicholas.

"The young master left, Miss Blue."

He left. I just nodded and went to the dining table. Balthazar prepared lunch for me while I was staring at nothing.
