Lily

Jibee and Kevin went downstairs to have their breakfast while Jenny and I ate. Due to my injured arm, she helped to eat.

Suddenly her phone rang. She excused herself and got up from my bed.

"I am at Lily's."

...

"Yes, I am okay. I'll tell you everything later. I am still not ready to go out if it's okay with Lily you come over here."

...

Jenny looked at me "Can Rose come over? She'll drive me home later."

I nodded.

"It's fine with Lily. I'll text you the address. Drive safe." She then ended the call

Before she sat next to me, she typed something in her phone, maybe sending my address to Rose.

Rose came after thirty minutes. We are now in the living room. Rose and Jenny are sitting on the couch while Kevin, Jibee and I are sitting across them.

Jenny started to tell everything to Rose.

"I am sorry, Jen. I shouldn't have forced you to wait for me there." Rose apologized

Jenny smiled at her friend.

I swear! Her smile is the most precious thing I've ever seen. Wait... What?

"Lily, thank you for saving Jenny." Rose gave her gratitude to me

"No need to thank me. I am willing to help."

"By the way, about the picture that the gossip site posted..."

Jibee cut Rose's statement off.

"Jenny will just have to admit that Lily is her friend and she'll tell people to stay away from Lily."

"Why? I mean...”

"Lily has a heart problem, less drama less the chance that she'll be in danger." Jibee shared

"This whole thing is a mess. Cassy should pay for this." Rose stated, hate is very visible on her face

The weekend ended very fast. Maybe because when my thought is all occupied with the Queen bee time flies very quick.

"I miss driving my baby." I pouted, glancing at Kevin who is driving my car

"I'll let you drive if you still love your life, I can't risk my life with an injured stubborn girl." Kevin replied

"I drove to hospital that night without crashing!" I whined

"But your arm is now casted, Lily." Kevin reminded me

"You're not driving not until you're all good." Jibee shot a warning look

We arrived at the school ten minutes before our first subject started.

I saw Jenny and Rose approaching us while we're walking inside the school.

"There is a commotion inside." Rose informed us

It looks that the cheerleaders got their prize for their bitchy behavior.

As we got near the commotion, the students made way for Jenny. Typical Queen bee.

We stopped when we got the perfect view of the cheerleaders, doing community service, wearing a janitor's uniform.

The students are taking pictures of them. I chuckled watching Cassy being pissed about her awful situation.

"This is amazing!" Jenny laughed at them while taking pictures of them

"I told you, they will regret everything." I said to her

Jenny went in front of the student crowd, getting everyone's attention.

"Listen, everyone!" She clapped her hands "I know everyone already saw the picture of Miracle and me. I just want to clarify something!" She looked at me and smiled "Lily saved me that night. This bitches behind me locked me in the janitor's room, Miracle was there to save me." Jenny stretched her hand to me, asking me to go to her and I did.

She wrapped her arm around my waist. I suddenly feel anxious with her touch and with the attention on me.

"She's my friend now! If I see someone harassing her she will experience hell! I don't want you to go near to her if it's not really important, I don't want you giving her uncomfortable looks! In short, stay the hell away from my girl! Are we all clear?"

My heart skipped a beat. She called me her girl. Why? Am I her girl? Maybe... maybe she means girlfriend, right just girlfriend.

The crowd nodded. Are they really afraid of this angel beside me?

The bell rang, signaling that our first class will now be a bit. The students scattered and made their way to their classes.

Recess came, Lily said that she'll just need to do something and she'll meet us in the cafeteria. Being nosey, I followed her.

Lily went to the parking lot. I don't want to become rude, I just really feel like she's hiding something.

I hide behind a car near where she's standing. A luxury car pulled over. Lily looked around before she went inside the luxury car.

I didn't know that Lily is actually rich. My dad can't even afford that kind of car. While observing the car, I noticed something.

"LLM?" I read the logo

It's where my parents work. Do Lily’s parents work there also? Why does she have to hide it?

Moments later, Lily got out from the car. I immediately ran back inside the school afraid that she might see me stalking her.

I got to the cafeteria before Lily arrived. Luckily no one asked me where I've been.

Since I announced my friendship with Lily this morning, students are expecting us to have our recess together that is why Lily's squad is at our table.

We were busy eating when Raymond approached our table.

"Hi, Jen." He smiled

Everyone at our table looked at him.

"Hello, Antonio." I greeted back

I glanced at Lily. I know that she knows that Raymond is my suitor but why do I feel like I'm doing something wrong to Lily?

"Are you free for another dinner tonight?"

I want to say no, I don't know why! I shouldn't have second thought about it. I need him for my popularity but... Lily...

"Sure. Pick me up around eight." I plastered my flirt smile

He nodded and walked away with his team.

"He seems nice." Lily commented while looking at Raymond's back

I was about to say something when Rose spoke.

"Nice? He's a douchebag! He played Cassy and the other popular girls here." Rose rolled her eyes on her "I don't know what came to her mind dating that douche bag."

Lily looked at me with a sad smile. I suddenly feel guilty saying yes to Raymond.

Why do I feel hurt? I know from the start that Raymond is courting Jenny but why do I feel this way? Am I jealous? No!

I was busy battling with my thoughts when Kevin poked my arm.

"Why?"

He pointed his index finger to the door of the cafeteria. There, someone standing, smiling at me brightly with his bad boy style look.

I smiled and uttered "Michael...”

I stood up and quickly walked to him. He greeted me with a bone crushing hug.

"How are you, princess?" He asked releasing me from the hug

"I'm good! Why are you here? It's been a year."

"What can I say? I’m still looking good." He chuckled and I playfully glared at him "Your knight is here for you, my princess." He then bowed like a real knight

I lightly punched his arm "You're crazy. Let me guess... my dad sent you here, right?"

He shook his head "Not really, I enrolled here by my will. Though you rejected me years ago, I still want to protect you." He looked at my cast and said, "You really made your dad believe that you slipped, huh?"

I scratched my nape "I think Kevin already told you everything. I need to lie, okay? I don't want my dad to send me back to Canada."

He patted my head "Would you like to introduce me to your friends there?"

I already forgot about them.

We made our way to our table.

"I see you're getting so much attention in here." Michael observed, looking around the cafeteria "You hate it, right?"

I sighed "Yeah."

We reached our table, everyone giving me a suspicious look but Jenny had a different expression but I couldn't read it.

"Everyone, this is Michael." I tapped his shoulder "That is Jibee, Rose, and Jenny."

Michael bowed "Nice meeting you all."

They all smiled and welcomed him. He sat next to me.

"How are you related to Lily?" Rose asked

Kevin gave me a sly smile "Awkward"

Jenny frowned "Is he your ex?"

"Our parents fixed our marriage two years ago." Michael shared

I observed Jenny's reaction, it says like she was betrayed or what.

"You're engaged?" Jibee asked me, shook by the news

"Let him finish first." I sighed

I'm not happy seeing Jenny like this, I feel like I'm hurting her.

"Just like what I am saying, our parents fixed our marriage but Lily refused. She said she can't marry a person she's not in love with." Michael explained then he ruffled my hair "But we remained friends."

"You just accepted her rejection?" Rose asked

"At first it hurts my ego but I can't force her to like me even though I'm starting to like her that time." Michael answered, winking at me

"Ew! Stop that." I joked
