Chapter 4 Delaney

Smiling at the woman in front of her, Yana laughed and shakes her head as if she was looking at some clown. “Leerion’s fans never ceased to amaze me, ever since our university days, they would always lash at me and act like some crazed woman. Have you gotten his number after you guard his house for pests every day? Ahh he must've never even known you existed, poor girl.” Yana chimed while looking at her from head to toe. Clearly acting as if she just discovered a new kind of animal. Flipping her hair to the side, Yana grinned at her with scrutinizing eyes. “You know what, because you look a little exotic, I will help you win his favor.” squinting her eyes at the stunned woman Yana smiled sweetly and said. “You just have to look a little bit like a human, a proper human okay? You're welcome honey.” saying that, a little giggle escaped her lips as various claps and laughs from people at the sideline could be heard. Clearly the audience were amused at how well Aya could handle animals.

While people scorned the woman and praised Yana, a loud laughter erupted behind them and followed by a slow thunderous clap. As the crowd parted to make way for the people behind, A group of handsome bachelors walked down the hall that now seemed like it was on a red carpet. Women blushed and giggled at the very sight of the men in their business attires, looking especially hot in it.

“Allana you haven't changed, and here I thought the fierce queen has evolved into being a meek slave of her good for nothing husband. Ahh I am mistaken indeed, your poisonous tongue never left.” Clad in a very stylish Armani suit, the man walked confidently towards them and habitually loosened his tie. Amazingly well-proportioned body, a clean haircut, sharp jaw and standing with his 6-foot-tall height, Travis Ampher undoubtedly caught everyone's attention. He devilishly smiled at Yana and playfully winked at her.

“Travis, tsk you really need to start tightening your security, wild and exotic animals are freely making your place look low class. How disappointing.” Yana replied as she glanced at the woman who had a red face clearly mocking her.

“Leerion, I want you to call the security to help the lady out, we can't risk angering the heiress of the Delaney’s. Do pardon our company’s late action, our dearest major shareholder was insulted in our grounds. We promise to agree to your requests as compensation.” Travis easily handled the situation while confirming Yana’s identity as the descendant and only daughter of the Delaney household

Hearing that from Travis Ampher, a close friend of the Delaney Family made his statement more credible, after all five years ago the treasured feisty princess who fears no one, suddenly vanished after its rumored marriage with a middle-class man, who later on managed the company that was given to the young lady by her late Aunt. Allana Delaney is the most treasured child and the only candidate and eligible offspring to take on their family’s empire. Currently, their other businesses are handled by her grandfather after all her children passed away one after the other and left only with his granddaughter Allana who married the bastard man he never approves of. Angered by her actions, Valrick Delaney announced that until she divorces the man and marries the man, he chose for her, then he won't acknowledge her nor let her inherit their business.

The young lady was of course rebellious and went against him claiming that Jin Xuan will be the only man she will ever love. Quickly going to the Civil registrations to register their marriage, which took her grandfather by surprise and left him bedridden due to shock for a few days.

“So, what brought you here? After disappearing on us, completely acting as if you never even know us?” Leerion bitterly said while sipping his tea which earned him an eye roll from Yana and a scoff from Travis. After the commotion a while ago at the elevator, Travis enthusiastically dragged her to the nearest cafe with hopes of getting tea from her.

Ever since Yana married the two-faced fox, she calls husband, they never heard anything from her, they could only get news if they hired a private investigator which gives them news that angered them to death. Their circle of friends had long wanted to go to their house and drag the shameless adulterers out of their house, they had no choice but let Yana handle her family herself. They knew better than to pry into Yana’s life, the last time someone went against her will and involved themself to her business, she made sure that what she did next made them vomit blood in anger.

“I'm going to buy a new car of course, I would not like it if I saw you at my front door ranting after I purchased a car on a different store, use your brain genius. Besides I have to focus on my family okay, I'm no longer a single woman, news flash, I have a child okay and you clearly missed a lot of events, it's payback time.” grinning at them while brushing her son's hair with her fingers. The child has fallen asleep on her bosom while playing with his favorite mechanical toy car.

“Your child? He clearly does not look like you one bit. Are you sure that’s your son and not that snake’s?” Travis clearly was not taking any of these shits, irritated by how stupid Yana came to be after falling in love.

“What do you mean snake? How did you know? Did you just hire an investigator on me? You know how I hate it when you guys meddle with my life.” shocked by the sudden discovery, Yana tapped her fingers on the table annoyed with the information she heard just now.

“That’s not the issue here young lady, your family doted on you and you just let a stupid asshole cheat on you inside your own house? How stupid Yana, I never knew you could be such an airhead! Were all the lessons we gave you for naught?”

“Stop being a mom Leerion”

“If I don't then who will?” hearing that from him, Yana fell silent. Topic about her family has always been sensitive after her parents died from assassination during one of their business trips. The young Yana lost her parents that fast at the age of 12 and 8 years later followed by her father's sister and her aunt who doted on her, dying with a terminal illness. Ever since then, parents had become a very sensitive topic for her, also the reason she had been reluctant to leave her husband and turned a blind eye on their affair.

“I know that you don't want to talk about it, but a time will come when you have to. Yana you are like a sibling to us, we had no way of controlling you but at least let us help you in some ways.”

“Indeed, Travis might be a jerk but we care about you a lot. We could go and kill that bastard but we won’t he had once made you happy and we respect your decisions. We may sound gay as hell but we mean it. If you still feel uncomfortable, then the squad is here to help you” Tears welled up Yana’s eyes after their small litany, hearing that from the people she cherishes was touching, she knew all too well that among their group, the two of them will never lie to her.

Their meet was cut short after she bid farewell, but she made it pretty sure that they had set a day to meet again with the whole squad and swore that she would tell them what happened and what her plans were. The men reluctantly agreed and later on sent her off with a luxurious custom-made car just for her. It was supposed to be a gift for her after her marriage but when she cut her ties with them and never appeared nor updated them about her current situation, they did not dare send gifts. They knew how stubborn Allana could get, so they got no choice but let her do what she wanted. They of course did not let her leave without giving them her new number and current address after she told them she changed her phone a while ago and lives in a condo.

Meeting them in this life was the most precious thing that happened to her, she may have been unfortunate in her marriage and family, but knowing that they got her back, Yana eased a little.

Walking towards the restaurant that she and her lawyer set their meeting at, Yana unconsciously gripped her son's hand. Right in front of her she could see the back of a very romantic couple walking hand in hand towards the entrance of the restaurant. Looking like they were about to have their date inside. If a stranger sees such a couple, they would probably be filled with warmth and sweetness but for her, seeing the couple was such a sting in the eye, especially when the couple is her husband who seemed to be not worried of her disappearance and his mistress, her innocent and sweet friend who she treated as a little sister.
