Chapter 38: Darren
Leaving Lauryn's office, I head up to go kick Jake's ass, but decide to leave it alone for the moment when I see the door is closed and hear Theresa in there. I have more important things to do. After completing some paperwork and calling Lewis about Damen Rodriguez, I hurry off to my buddies' jewelry shop at lunch.

I walk in with lunch for Lauryn when I see her crying on Janet's shoulder. Not knowing what the fuck is going on, I demand answers. "What happened? Are you alright?" I can't believe he just left me sitting here crying. Of course, I knew I should have never said anything to him, because the minute I did the look on his face told me exactly what I thought it would.
