Empath

Excerpt from the book:

“I've caught you now, so you are mine!” he growled.

Oh, boy. I'm in deep shit. I blinked up at him noticing how close we were. So close. And I was only standing in a towel.

“Do you know what smells better than fear?” the alpha suddenly asked.

“What...?” I squeaked having no idea what he means.

“Lust. The smell of your arousal.” he spat the words irritatedly, “my c*ck hunger for your p*ssy so I won't be killing you anymore. I'm going to brand you now as my slave.”

Leon's POV

In a cold, dark room, I remained standing glaring at the old warlock as he scurried to work. “What's taking so long?” I growled, anger laced with my tone.

The old man trembled nervously, knowing that the Alpha will snap soon. “I… Alpha, I'm trying hard. I just c- can't concentrate if you are staring at me like that.” staring at him like he's going to kill him anytime soon. The warlock has not only heard rumors about Alpha Leon, he has witnessed how crazy and ruthless he can be when he's furious.

Leon is different from other Alphas, his way of reasoning was different! Where others will try solving problems without bloodshed, Alpha Leon literally kills his enemies without blinking. Bloodbath and slaughter were what he was good at. It is why people know him as the barbaric Alpha, a savage. He is ferocious and merciless in his ways. The bringer of death.

But, that wasn't the only reason he is feared by all. Both werewolves and humans were petrified of him because he is the only pure–blooded werewolf. In other words, he is royalty to all werewolves. They only appear once in decades when they are out to find their mates or when there's an uprising.

Pure – Blooded werewolves are born to rule, they are naturally Alpha's who are almost invisible. Some say they are immortal's because they age slowly compared to other wolves and not just any weapon could kill them.  But that wasn't the case for Leon, he was something more than that. Different from other pure bloods. There was something dark in him, more sinister that no one can comprehend.

Which was why Leon was standing there, glaring at him, so he could test out weapons that could hurt him.

When he was done, without giving the Alpha any warning, he swiftly thrust the poisoned weapon towards Leon, stabbing him with an evil gleam in his eyes. “Die!”

Instead of dodging, I stared at the warlock with a raised brow. “Seems like you have a death wish, warlock. Poisons don't work on me.” I drawled.

His eyes widened as he stood, paralyzed in fear. “N- no Alpha, I wasn't…” he fell on his knees instantly. “Spare my life, Prince Leon, I didn't mean to curse you. The devil came over me for a moment.”

“Your ancestors said the same thing before they all died by my hand,” I said pulling the blackish dagger out of my stomach, not feeling an inkling of pain. The wound immediately began to close up by itself, making me sigh in disappointment. It seems it's yet again, another failure.

Fuming, I glanced at the wizard on the floor, my finger nails turning into a claw.

Seeing this, the warlock desperately shuffled backward, trying to put a distance between us.

“It's useless you know, your time is over. It's a pity it will take some time to look for another witch.” I mumbled, stalking toward him.

“Alpha Leon, you will die a horrible death!” the witch pulled out a knife, wanting to kill himself with it, but I was faster. Using my claws, I slit his throat cleanly, watching as his head fell to the floor.

‘Come clean this mess!’ I ordered my Beta's after that through the mind link, then used a handkerchief to wipe the blood stains off my hand.

Both Levy and Rhys came in, not surprised to see the dead warlock. “Alpha, at this rate, there will be no more witch to aid you.” Levy sighed dramatically.

“Yes, it took us ages to find this one.” They had no reason why their Alpha will look for weapons that could harm himself. It just doesn't make sense.

“Find me another warlock.” with that I stormed out of the room, into the woods.

They followed me, speechless. “Alpha! Damn it, all warlocks and witches have gone into hiding because you are killing them. They just don't hide anymore, they use their magic to conceal themselves. Why didn't you just torture him?” Rhys mumbled underneath his breath, not wanting to question the alpha, but I heard it clearly. They were the only ones who dared to talk to me in that manner, if it were any other person, they would have died without knowing how.

“They tried to kill me first, instead of obeying orders,” I replied dryly.

“Ah… That doesn't mean…”

Suddenly, a familiar scent wafted through my nose, making me halt on my step. “Shhh… Someone's coming.”

The Beta duo paused and listened. Due to their werewolf ability, they were able to hear things from a distance. “A human.”

“No, not just human. It's an empath. Don't let him escape.” I ordered as the left my side.

Glancing down, I realized my hand was visibly shaking from rage. I was completely angered. There are things I could tolerate on earth, but not empaths. Why are they still alive? I thought I've wiped them all from the surface of the earth? Their very sight of them disgusts me.

Scenes of what happened in the past flashed through my mind, gaining a growl from me. I thought I'd buried what they did to me, it seems I was wrong.

At that instance, my wolf wanted nothing more than to shift, to take over and end the persons' life, but I refrain from shifting. Death will be too easy for whoever it is that's coming.

Right after I had this thought, the footsteps grew nearer, I glanced up only to see a red-haired girl running towards me while glancing over her shoulder.

Not realizing someone was on her way, she bumped into me and whipped around in fear upon noticing me.

My mind was telling me to kill her now and be down with it, but before I could make my move, she took me by surprise by placing a knife on my neck. My brows knitted tightly after hearing her next words.

“Don't come closer or he dies!”

My head cocked slightly to the side, bewildered. A little young empath, threatening to kill me? That's the lamest joke I've heard in a long time.

I blinked, dumbstruck for a moment, and looked at her again. The flaming red hair floating around her, created a halo around her small, pale face, with her bright azure eyes shining at me. At that moment, I changed my mind instantly about killing her. There are things worse than death itself — things that no one will ever want to experience. Meeting me today will be her doom. I'll make sure of that.

“Or else what little red?” I asked with a raised brow.

Her pretty eyes flashed, she cast a glance at the wolves surrounding her, then raise her head to meet my gaze. “I'll strangle you… to death.”
