FORTY FIVE

Lean nailed his gaze only on the busy street in front of him. He avoided Avelyn and all the things she wanted to talk about as much as possible. He didn't want to talk about anything now. He wasn't in the mood for that. But how much longer would Avelyn be able to stop herself from talking to him? Since then Avelyn immersed herself in the music on her headset. Just now Avelyn took off her headset and stretched her arms in the air to squirm like a cat from getting tired of their long journey. So she'll definitely be discussing Hill in a bit.

"Would you like something to drink?"

Avelyn took a plastic bag of their food in the passenger seat. She rummaged through the plastic for a bottle of diet soda, and then turned to Lean, who had been silent all this time.

"Aren’t you thirsty? You haven't had anything to drink since."

"Mineral water please."

Avelyn hasn't commented on his weirdness yet. But she will do it after this.

"I can change you driving if you're tired."

"I'm fine."
