Lila's POV

I lingered at the doorway, my hand still resting against the cold frame. My chest rose and fell unevenly, not from exhaustion but from the storm I couldn’t name inside me.

“Is he okay now?” My voice cracked, sounding softer than I meant it to.

Damien turned from where he’d been standing over his brother’s bed. His broad shoulders blocked half the light spilling from the window. His tone was clipped, sharp, but almost too calm.

“Yes. He is.”

Relief rushed through me for Ethan, but it didn’t last. Damien’s eyes pinned me where I stood, dark with something I couldn’t place...anger, desire, or both. His jaw ticked once before he moved, slow and deliberate, toward me.

“You want to tell me,” he began, his words cutting like a blade through still air, “why you fucked me the same night you fucked him?”

The air thickened instantly. My mouth went dry. “What...” I stammered, my throat suddenly tight. “I… what are you talking about?”

He stopped right in front of me, so close that I co

Ethan's POV “Dad, I’m not getting married to that bitch!”The words tore out of me before I could stop them. My chest rose and fell as though the walls were closing in, but my father only leaned back in his chair, his face carrying that smug, untouchable calm that had haunted me my whole life.“Oh yes, you will,” he replied, his tone clipped, final, like he was signing a business contract.I slammed my fist on the nearest table, glass rattling on its surface. “Why do you think your words are supposed to go a long way in my life? I’m not some puppet you can just drag around.”He rose from his chair, eyes sharp and voice cutting through the air. “You will not bring shame to my name, Ethan. You will marry her, or at the very least, you will have her as your baby’s mother..maybe even your first wife if that’s what it takes. I don’t care how you feel.”The rage inside me boiled. “Fine, then. I’m ready to do a DNA test if that’s what it takes to prove my point!”“I don’t care about your po

Lila's POV "Look who called," his voice slid through the phone, smooth and cruel at once.Till this very moment, I never thought Mr. Blackwood could be so heartless. A billionaire, yes. Powerful, yes. But cruel? Ruthless? My chest burned as I tried to breathe.I swallowed hard, clutching the phone tighter.“Why are you doing this?” My voice trembled. He chuckled, deep and unbothered.“It’s business, princess. Nothing personal. Just business.”My fists tightened. “Does business really mean taking innocent lives?”“Sweetheart,” he drawled, “you have a lot to learn.”Anger flared hot in my chest. “I don’t care. I’ll never spill blood. I’d rather get banned from the country than....”The line shifted. Suddenly his face appeared on my screen. Video call. My stomach lurched.I froze. “How...what are you doing there?”He smiled, leaning back casually. “As your mother’s past lover, I came to check up on her.”My body went rigid. My throat locked. “Don’t touch her. Don’t you dare.”“Calm down

Damien's POV “Dame, how long is this trip lasting?”I nearly choked on my own tongue. Dame?My worst nightmare had just walked down the jet aisle like heaven had opened its pearly gates for her. And she was calling me that?I turned slowly, narrowing my eyes. “What the hell did you just call me?”She smiled, that kind of smile that gets under a man’s skin. “Dame. It makes you sound less… scary.”Scary? I stared at her, trying to read her face. She was dead serious. I tilted my head. “You think I’m scary?”She didn’t even hesitate. “I don’t think so. I know so.”I exhaled through my nose, dragging a hand down my jaw. This girl is going to be the death of me.We boarded the private plane. Dad had already taken care of all arrangements, like the control freak he is. She slid into her seat, tossing me a look like she expected me beside her. Instead, I deliberately sat one row back. Her stare burned into me. Is this rejection? Hell yeah, it was rejection. Last thing I needed was her runn

Lila's POV The dream was so vivid, so raw, I almost gasped when I woke.Ethan’s mouth on my breast. Damien’s hands gripping my hips. The clash of their bodies against mine as if they both owned me, as if I were nothing more than the tether between their war. I jolted upright, sweat on my forehead.“Get dressed already. We’re hitting England today.”The words sliced through the haze of my dream. My eyes flew to the doorway. Damien stood there like he owned not just the frame, not just the room, but me. His shirt was already crisp, his tie sharp, his stance screaming control.I pulled my hair into a quick ponytail, trying to shake off the remnants of the dream. Two brothers. One girl. My skin burned with shame. Why would my mind conjure that? Why would I crave it in sleep if it disgusted me awake?I cringed and forced a steady tone. “Why are you dressed already? It’s only seven.”He didn’t look at me. He hissed under his breath and adjusted his cufflinks.“Not surprised. That’s why yo

Ethan's POV “I am pregnant.”The words didn’t just fall from her lips, they detonated inside my skull, bouncing against my bones, echoing in my blood. My ears rang. My chest tightened. And suddenly the air was poison.“No.” My voice cracked, foreign even to me. I lunged forward, gripping her wrists tight enough for her pulse to thrum against my palm. “You’re spilling nonsense... You don’t mean that. Say you don’t mean that. Get out, just...get out before you ruin everything.”Her eyes didn’t flinch. Calm. Cold. That made me sicker than the words themselves. She shook her head slowly, like she pitied me. Pitied me.“Someone has to know, Ethan,” she whispered. “And since you’re too much of a coward to spill it, I will.”Damien’s voice slashed through the tension. “When?” His tone was detached, almost amused. “When exactly did this happen?”“The night of my birthday.” Stephanie answer was steady, her lips barely moving, but each syllable stabbed me.My throat dried. My chest locked. The
