As Lindsay drove to meet her husband, her mind raced about what Wren needed to tell her. If he was telling her to turn off her phone and radios, there must be a reason, but it worried her. What had he found? Was she in danger? Even more important, was Dillon in danger? She finally reached the area where Wren was waiting for her. It was in the middle of nowhere. The nearest house was over a mile away. She pulled her car onto a gravel side road and saw his car parked ahead of her. He was out of his vehicle, leaning against it. Little Bob arrived at Max’s house a few minutes after leaving the sheriff’s department. Before he even reached the porch, Max was opening the door.
