"Where are you going Officer Ynares?"
Jacob looked away from the source of Zannie's voice. He stopped tying his boots when the girl approached him.
"How come, when you're dressed like that without a uniform, you're definitely going somewhere." Zannie still smiled.
"Yes. I'll fetch Mr. Fontafella first." Jacob zipped the bag he was carrying behind his back.
"Who is that?" Zannie asked curiously.
"He will come here to undergo an evaluation. He needs it for his father's own company," Jacob said.
"Ah. Is he and the man you were referring to the other day the same?"
"Yes Zannie. Case I have a problem, I had a hard time rejecting her dad as her evaluator. Looks like I can't evaluate what he's going to do here. You know, I still have to participate in other activities for a chance to have a rank and pass the next exams." There is sadness and regret in Jacob's voice. Zannie already knows him, when that's the tone of his speech, for sure he will ask for something in favor of a friend that she just can't help not to do for his sake.
Zannie raised an eyebrow as she shot Jacob a meaningful look. "You want me to just evaluate him?"
Jacob grinned with both hands on his head. "It seems like that. If only you could. If only you were okay with it, Zannie."
"All right. Just show me my guidelines for evaluation. What is he? Student?"
"No. He's CEO."
"CEO? In that case, he's smart. But why does he have to undergo evaluation? That was odd and fresh to me, Jacob."
"His dad said he had an attitude problem so here's a lesson for him. Actually, he doesn't know what his setup will be here. All he knows is that he's going on vacation."
"He's going to have a hard time here. He's the son of a rich man and has an attitude problem? Looks like I'm going to win the bet."
Jacob sneezed with a mixed grin. "Really huh? Maybe when you see that man, you'll fall in love and lose your anger with men. I knew you, you cursed everyone who flirted with you."
"Whatever Jacob!"
Zannie's eyes rolled in disapproval of what Jacob had told her. The only reason he shows hatred towards men is also because of Jacob, if not Jacob, why would he go astray?
"That's all I said but you look like you're in a commotion like the Mayon volcano. All right, I'm leaving Zannie. There's no ration of goods later. You should spare your free time to rest. Okay?"
Jacob ruffled Zannie's hair. He used to do it every time his friend was not in a good mood. It's also one of the ways he teases more.
Zannie smiled hard but somehow, she was still secretly thrilled because of Jacob's sweetness to her.

It has been an hour since Howard arrived at the national airport of Trias but the person to pick him up is still not coming. This is what he hated the most, those people who are not punctual or always late. As a CEO — before, his arrival was even sharper on time to meet SLI's business partners. As well as gatherings and office entrances, he was always early.
For him, there is no ascension in life for the person who is late because there is no appreciation of time. In the corporate world, time is the enemy and time is important to use properly for the continuous flow of transactions as the company grows. But he didn't realize, it was just the company he thought was important that he later realized wasn't right. How about the sake of all employees?
He was mentally depressed, only now did he realize the mistake. He still remembers the former SLI employee Robert, who told him to leave for his son's birthday but he did not agree even though he knew that Robert had not been able to leave during his five years of service with the company.
Well, there is no remorse ahead. If there is repentance, there will also be conscience. But no, he won't be able to say sorry because the other employees he abused have resigned.
"And why should I be sorry?"
He shrugged all thoughts that could totally ruin the day. He is no longer in a good mood with the idea of staying in Trias, especially since he is reminiscing about the employees at SLI.
"Mr. Howard Fontafella?"
In his peripheral vision, a man with a muscular physique and a little taller than him was approaching. Its stance is like that of Mr. Universe, there is also no denying its good looking brown skin color, he can't help but admire it even if it's a man like him. How come, he's just handsome but he hasn't achieved the physique like this man. Well as of this moment, it is proven that the man also has insecurities with his fellow man.
"I'm Jacob Ynares, who will take you to Trias. I'm glad to meet you!" he greeted her before holding out his palm to shake hands but he also withdrew immediately because Howie ignored it.
"Why are you late? Did you know that late people are kind of disrespectful to others? Look! I waited for you for more than an hour!" Howard's growl caused Jacob to frown. He suddenly smirked. That's exactly what Mr. Fontabella told him that his bossy and antipathetic son will always be talking in a very straightforward manner.
"I'm sorry Mr. Howard. In the matter of time management, sometimes it depends on priorities," Jacob sarcastically explained and apologized.
"Lame reasoning. Which hotel will I stay at?"
Frowned at Howard's question, Jacob answered with a hesitant smile. "Actually, there is no hotel but there are barracks."
"Barracks? What do you think of me? A normal worker? I'm here for vacation!" Howard met Jacob's gaze. But his insult to her had no effect because he just kept smiling so he was even more indignant with annoyance.
"Okay. But let's go to the barracks first I'm saying," Jacob shrugged then started walking for Howard to follow him.
"Wait, are you going to make me walk? Won't you just help me carry my other luggage?" he asked, annoyed.
Jacob sighed. "Why Sir? Are you a disabled person?"
"What? Are you like that when you talk to me? Don't you know me?"
His annoyance with that man in front of him intensified. For the first time, someone answered him sarcastically and he was not used to it so his head quickly heated up like that.
"You don't know me either Sir. It's getting dark. It's hard to travel to our accommodation. Just follow me." Jacob even gave a thumbs up and smiled so he was even more annoyed with the antipathetic Howard who was unaware of his real setup in Trias.
"Is this the place you're talking about? Do you think I should be able to stay here?"At the very beginning of arriving at Jacob's alleged barracks, Howard's immediate reaction was obviously disgusting."Yes Sir. And on the vacant pallet you will sleep," Jacob's formal reply and he was already laughing in his mind."Where? I want to see!"Jacob pointed to Howard, the vacant pallet said. "Over there, in front of you."Howard narrowed his eyes at Jacob and his blood seemed to boil with annoyance when he saw what the pallet looked like. It was very small and didn't even have a mat on it. "Are you really going to put me to sleep here? Are you upset?" he asked w
"How did you get into my room?" Zannie asked as she was able to put on a T-shirt top and thick fabric so that her underwear would no longer be transparent. The young stranger was speechless. The sunlight had dimmed in that part of the room so she had a chance to see his face. The man remained silent as if his question had not been heard so he turned around in disgust."You're not going to speak? I said, how did you get in here? Do you intend to exploit me?" Zannie growled.A few moments later the man stood up from his slump on the floor. Zannie was shocked by the man's appearance, in his appearance, he did not seem to make a fuss and did not look like a member of a terrorist who would overthrow the army. The man in front of her looks like an actor she saw on billboards, that type of look, any woman can fall off and swoon. The strength of sex appeal is understated. He may look intimidating too. His height is proportional to his
Zannie kept her mouth shut. He was worried that Howie might be true to his threat.‘Is that a threat? Keep calm Zannie. It looks very anxious. That won't kiss you.’Her gaze was fixed on Howard's lips. His lips were indeed kissable. But he couldn’t have stolen her first kiss because she reserved it to Jacob. She suddenly looked away. That was probably the signal for Howard to release her because his grip on both of her hands had loosened."You know what? you're an arrogant woman." Howard's seductive eyes narrowed. Then, Zannie snorted a bit. She got the timing right and she started kicking on his private part which made his knees wea
"Why aren’t you moving? Are you waiting for Christmas to arrive?" If Zannie hadn't spoken, Howard probably wouldn't have gone back in time. He could not believe that this woman could drive. She unintentionally impressed him. On the other hand, he couldn't help but worry. He strongly believes that a man can do better than a woman. It’s not cool for a woman doing men’s work. And he was still very worried that he might be ruined again when he was with her. Maybe Zannie's anger at him hasn't subsided yet. "Aren't you going to drive?" Howard asked Jacob. "I can't go back to the barracks so only you and Zannie will ride in that armored car." "Really? Is she a professi
"The temporary class is scheduled for the next day. I have to be early."Zannie was still relaxed and looked around her room. She was loaded with tasks, her eyes suddenly fixed on a brown envelope that Jacob had given her."Of course. It's another one."She looked at the paper contained in the envelope.'Evaluation sheet of Mr. Howard Fontabella, CEO of SLI.'She raised an eyebrow at the read header of the evaluation sheet. "He's not lying. In fairness."She read other written guidelines for evaluation. There are some things that Howard should be asked to do when his attitude is tested in another field as an ordinary em
Zannie is holding some textbooks that she will use to teach children affected by the war in Trias. He took a deep breath then turned to Ms. Aida, a teacher who assists in her teaching. He could not have been assigned to do this but there is a real shortage of teachers in the area because most have left Trias to avoid the war, while others have been assisted in other relief operations in other evacuation centers. The class will be held in the small space behind the covered court that served as an evacuation center. "It looks like a classroom somehow, doesn't it?" Zannie asked Ms. Aida. She just smiled at her because the visual aids she was watching to teach a history subject grabbed her attention. "Thank you Ms. Zannie, it's great that you made your visual aids. It's like the work of a legitimate teacher. The setup looks like a cl
"Did you grasp the lesson?"When Howard asked the question, all of the kids nodded. He explained the lesson to the children for more than thirty minutes. It was even more enjoyable than presenting business projects and proposals when he was still employed. He seemed to enjoy what he was doing."I hope you'll be our teacher forever."When the boy in the background said something, his ears clapped. He smiled because he had never heard a compliment like this before when presenting in front of big bosses in various companies. He's finally demonstrated that a compliment from a child is more genuine. When they praise someone, they are not lying, and they are more grateful."Sure," he replied. He saw Zannie frowning so he approached her."What can you say about my teaching skills?" he whispered. Zannie just averted her eyes and left again. Howard suddenly fell silent. At this time, why is Zannie acting like that?"My advice is, you have to be good at speaking so that your crush Jacob will no
Zannie walked slowly into the living room. Howard offered her a piggyback ride because she could no longer when she stumbled because of her shoelace earlier. But on the other hand, she is still annoyed with Howard for saying that she's not pretty enough to show a stern attitude, and even said that she won't ruin the reputation that is best kept just for him. That had an impact and it was like a broken plaque repeated in her mind. The wind blew her away and she looked in the mirror. She slapped both cheeks for thinking such things. She couldn’t fathom the impact of Howard's presence and his sudden mood change. It turns out that the scent of him also lingered on her clothes because he had been on a piggyback ride before. ‘This is strange for me. Why am I feeling something that makes me thrilled?’Why so? Does she feel the thrill that she should just have only for Jacob? That thought made her lose concentration. Damn, that man is invading her whole system. Until now, she admitted she qu
