No Choice

“Something on your mind?” Damien asked as he saw how confused and lost she looked.

“Yes, how come I can't remember what happened twenty-four hours ago? And how did I end up on this ship? The last thing I remember was being with my husband.”

“Okay, so if I get your question. You want me to reveal how I kidnapped you?” Damien asked and she nodded.

“No, I won't. Why will I?”

“Come on, that is the least you can do after taking me against my will, you can be jailed for this.”

“I will love to see the cops try. I am not telling you anything, all you need to know is that, with time, you will remember what happened twenty-four hours ago.”

“How long?”

“For about a week.” 

“What?”

“Yeah.” He replied and his phone beeped.

“Ugh, I can't wait to get off the ship.” He muttered and Audrey sighed, she ran her hands through her hair.

“Need something?”

“No.” She replied.

“Well if you do, you can ask anyone around and they will get it for you, excuse me.” He said and walked out of the room.

“Oh, my God.” Audrey muttered and lay on the couch.

HOURS LATER

“Ma’am.”

“Please wake up ma’am, we have arrived at our destination.” Audrey heard someone say in her sleep and she slowly opened her eyes, she saw a man staring at her and she sat up in fear.

“Where am I?” She asked in fear and looked around.

“On a ship ma’am.” He replied and she sighed when she remembered the situation she is in.

“Where is Damien?” She asked and she stood up.

“He is waiting outside the ship for you miss.” He replied and she nodded, she walked out with him and felt relieved when she saw Damien, she wondered why though but she couldn't deny the fact that she was glad to see him.

She walked to him and he glanced at her.

“You really had to fall asleep.”

“I was tired.” She muttered and he rolled his eyes, they both walked towards a car and Audrey kept looking around.

They entered the car and he threw some papers at her.

“What is this?” She asked as she stared at it.

“Sign it.” He ordered and gave her a pen, she signed it and gave it back to him. 

“What was it?”

“A contract.” He replied and gave a guard the papers.

“A contract for what?”

“A contract that says I didn't kidnap you, you followed me at your will because you needed money. It was all about a one-night stand.” He replied and her eyes widen in shock.

“What?”

“Yes.”

“How can you make me sign that? You just committed another crime, you kidnapped me!” She yelled.

“I didn't commit any crime, not with this contract you just signed.” 

“This isn't fair, I already agreed to spend ninety fucking days with you, did you really have to go this far?”

“Yes, I needed to.” He replied and she screamed at him.

“The fact that you are screaming isn't going to change anything.” 

“You are such a monster, you kidnapped me!” She yelled and hit his arm.

“Hit me one more time and you will regret it.” He snapped and she flinched.

“I have done nothing more than be nice to you, who do you think you are dealing with? I can end the life of your parents and your fucked up husband right now with just one phone call, so I will advise you to do whatever I say and keep your mouth shut. Trust me, I can be very ruthless.” He snapped and she gulped.

“Am... Am sorry, I will listen to you and do whatever you say. Don't hurt my family.” She apologized and he adjusted his jacket.

“I thought as much.” He replied and she wiped the tear that rolled down her eyes, she gets scared easily and he just terrified her right now by yelling at her, he has been cool to her from the start but now she is seeing another side of him.

“Don't cry.” He ordered and she wiped her tears but they kept falling, slowly she started to cry and he groaned.

“It's annoying, stop it.” He ordered and she bit her lip to stop herself.

“Am sorry.” She apologized and tried to calm herself.

“Feeling better?” He asked after a while and she nodded.

“I see you hate being yelled at and I love yelling a lot but don't worry about that. As long as you cooperate with me, you have nothing to worry about.” He said and she didn't give him a response.

“I don't like being ignored, don't get on my new es again.”

“Yes, I have heard you.” She replied and he nodded.

The car finally stopped and they both walked, Audrey looked at the mansion and was amazed by how huge it is, she had always thought her husband was rich but his house is nothing compared to this, this house is huge.

“Let’s go in.” He ordered and they both walked into the house.

They got in and Audrey watched as every guard and maid bowed at him which made her so curious about the number of maids and guards he has.

They were some on the ship too.

“Go with the maids, they will show you to your room. Once you get settled in, come back downstairs, we still have a lot to talk about now that we are here.”

“Okay.” She replied and he walked away, Audrey turned to the maids and they smiled at her.

“This way ma’am.” 

“Sorry, I have a question.” Audrey suddenly said as she looked around to make sure Damien wasn't around anymore.

“What is it, ma’am?” One of the maids asked.

“Is there any way I can get out of this building without Damien knowing? Like I mean escaping?” She asked and the maid nodded.

“Of course, you can ma’am but it will only result in one thing.” Another one answered.

“What is it? Freedom?”

“Death.”
