DAPHNE

"I Reject you as my mate" Jake's voice struck me like lightning and I froze, I couldn't believe what I just heard.

"What.... did you.. just say" I tried not to stutter but couldn't.

"You heard me right, let's end whatever we have between us, I can't keep dating a wolf less Omega" He blurted out angrily and left me standing under the scorching sun devastated.

My Eyes were teary as I watched him Walk away without looking back. I tried so hard to control the tears which were lurking in the corner of my eyes but couldn't. Jake has been my boyfriend for Three years. We started dating after we met at the moonlight festival and he has been my source of joy and happiness. He's like one I think of whenever I go through hard times which usually shred me.

My name is Daphne and I belong to Dawn falls pack which happens to be the second most powerful pack in the state, Jake's Dad was the Alpha of my pack and I lived with my parents until my mom died and my Dad had to marry my step mom, few years later my Dad died and things went south after my stepmom took over.

My life has never been the same since then, my step mom and her daughter Maltreated me and they turned me into a pack slave.

It got worse and whenever I complained about how they were treating me , I got punished instead for complaining. My life changed completely after I met Jake. He helped me get through the bad days and brought so much happiness to my life. I was so foolish to think that he was my mate and that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.

I turned eighteen today and I was excited as I ran to Roy hoping we would be celebrating my birthday together, I never knew he was going to break my heart. I ran home drenched in the rain while allowing it to wash away my tears and pains. I already knew I was in trouble because I left the house without telling my step mom.

"Where have you been, you slut!" Her voice echoed as she landed a slap across my face and I winced in pain with my head down, my heart was heavy and so was my eyes.

"Do you think we don't know that you go about sleeping around?" Her daughter, Sheila blurted out while making mockery faces at me.

I was beaten and made to kneel under the rain as my punishment. I knelt under the rain crying my eyes out, my wounds were sore and they were immensely painful, it felt as if I was dying, I just wished the death that took my parents away would come and take me.

I opened my eyes and found myself in my room, I still had my wet clothes on and Sheila was standing next to me.

"What happened?"

"You passed out last night" she said Smirking and all I could do was stare at her.

"It's good that you are awake, go to the kitchen and prepare something, we are famished" She blurted out and walked away.

I tried standing up but couldn't, my wounds were hurting and my knees were aching, I wish I could just runaway from this pack, I wouldn't mind being a Rogue, all I want is to escape this torture and inhumane treatment I have been subjected to.

I dragged myself to the kitchen and finally I was able to prepare something. I was about to inform Shelia that food was ready when I heard moaning sounds coming from her room, the door was opened and I went closer to meet the most shocking incident of my life.

Sheila was bent over the sofa and Jake was taking her from the back, my heart shattered as I fight back my tears from dropping, I stood there not being able to move, my legs were suddenly weak after seeing the person I love my so much bang my step sister, now I know why he Rejected me as his mate because he was having an affair with my cousin.

"What are you doing here you psycho?" Shelia's voice snapped me out of my thoughts as she quickly wore her dress and dragged me to her mother while Jake left the house without looking at me or giving me an explanation.

I knelt down under the sun as my uncle's wife landed strokes of cane at my back and all I could do was to endure the pain while tears fell freely down my cheeks, there's no one to save me or speak up for me.

"I'm going to stop here, I don't want you to die before they arrive here" She said and went inside Leaving me under the sun.

"They?" I asked myself trying to understand what she meant by that. I dragged myself to my room and cleaned off the blood on my wounds. I was so sad and my heart was aching because of the wounds on my body and because I just saw my boyfriend having an affair with my step sister. I was so worn out that I didn't know when I slept off.

"Wake up!" I heard Shelia's annoying voice and I opened my eyes, she was standing beside my bed with her hands crossed.

"Dress up and come downstairs with your bags, don't waste time unless you want to be punished as usual" She added before leaving the room.

A lot of things were going through my mind as I wondered why she suddenly wanted me to pack my bags. Does she want me to leave her house? That will be better, "life as a rogue couldn't be this hard" I said to myself as I packed up my stuff. I came downstairs and met the shock of my life.

"I saw two men dressed in black suits standing outside, they all wore a hard face and one of them handed a black suitcase to my step mom and her face was beaming with smiles. Knowing my step mom very well, the only thing that could make her smile so hard was money"

I came downstairs and she immediately came closer to me "I hope you get yourself killed" She whispered into my ear and that sent shivers down my spine.

"Can you at least explain what's going on here?" I managed to ask.

"Isn't it obvious? You have just been sold, "she said Smirking.

"Sold?" I queried shockingly
