"because I'm trying to protect you." he simply said and stared at the city which was lit up..

"Is it because of the king?" Lia couldn't stop herself from asking..

he heaved a sigh and turned to look directly into her eyes..

"my relationship with the king is not as simple as it seems." he gave her a short reply and she wondered what he was hiding..

"Your mate seems to be with the king." she mumbled but immediately regretted it when he suddenly pinned her against the wall angrily and she shuddered in fear..

his eyes were golden like the sun as he growled.

"don't you ever talk about her!" growled and she was basically shivering in fear..

"I'm sorry." she mumbled in fear and he pulled away from her. it was the very first time she'd seen him this angry and she wouldn't want it to ever happen again..
