Unexpected surprise

"You're right. It's getting harder every day, and I'm not even six months pregnant yet," Charlotte agreed, sounding tired from the slight effort.

We arrived at the clinic where the examination would take place a few minutes early, despite Charlotte's delay. When she was all prepared for the examination, lying on the hospital bed, the doctor entered to perform the procedure.

I felt my hands getting sweaty, and it was embarrassing. After all, I was a grown man, accustomed to dealing with important billion-dollar negotiations, and now I could barely maintain composure just to accompany my wife's ultrasound.

"Do the parents really want to know if it's a girl or a boy?" the obstetrician doctor asked.

Dr. Gonzales had been following Charlotte's pregnancy from the beginning, and she liked his care a lot. I also found him quite likable since I started attending the appointments with her.

"Yes, we do, doctor," Charlotte said, eagerly.
