A Bad Boy's Love

Anaiah's pov.

Today started out like any other day.Mom and dad in their room screaming at each other like they wanted to bring the house crashing down.

To be honest I was getting tired of their charades.Even our neighbours were tired of compaining.

I seriously could not understand how one minute ,they would be arguing and looking like they could kill the other ,then the next,they would having gross make out sections in their room.

I mean,they thought I could not hear them but the walls in this house are paper thin.

I sighed and got out of bed.I made my way over to my washroom to begin my morning routine.No yoga today as I was already running late for school.

I normally was an early riser but I had not gone to bed early yesterday.In fact,I just slept this dawn.

Last night had been a blast.My boyfriend,Maxton who was also the schools basketball leader had hosted a party and I was in attendance.

I mean ,I had to.We were the power couple .I was the leader of the most popular and much coveted female only fraternity,Alpha Psi Alpha girls.

Call our relationship cliche or whatever but we loved each other and that's all that matters.

My parents did not even know I had sneaked out yesterday for the party.They do not let me stay on campus and I did not care much about that.

I loved my room at home and it was spacious.Besides ,I could not imagine sharing my space with anyone.

I finished with bathing and my skincare routine.I went downstairs to the kitchen.The screaming had died down . My mother was in the kitchen making toasts,her hair tied in a messy bun.

"Hi,mama",I said to her.

"Hey sweetie,have some toasts",she replied sliding me a plate with avocado toast over the kitchen island.She looked tired and had dark circles under her eyes.

"Are you okay?",I asked her worriedly.

"Yes,yes,darling,just tired",she replied with a small smile.

I went over to the refrigerator and poured my self a glass of cranberry juice,my all time favorite.

I sat down and had my breakfast on the kitchen island.

"How is classes coming along?",my mom asked.

"Great"

"Anything you need?"

"No,I am ok and I still have my card",I added with a small smile 

"Okay honey".

"Is dad still around?",I asked as I got up to clear my plate.

"Yeah,yeah,do you want to go see him?"

"No,just kiss him for me,I have to head out now"

"Okay ,love you honey",my mom  said and gave me a hug.

"Love you mama",I replied hugging her back.

I fetched my car keys and went out of the house.

My car was the love of my life.Well,I mean after Maxton.It was my high school graduation gift,a Porsche.I had graduated summa cum laude.Yeah,I was smart.

It was sprayed in cobalt blue same us the colour of my eyes.My favourite colour.

I turned the stereo on and drove to school.As I got to the Schools parking lot ,I saw my bestfriend Maya, waiting at my parking spot.

We always went in together.

"Hey girl", Maya said as I got down from my car.

"Hey girl",I said going over and putting my hands over her shoulders.

We made our way to the doors leading to our locker rooms as we picked our books for our first lesson.We then made our way to our student common room where I was to meet Maxton.

We always spent our mornings and lunch break together as Maxton normally had practice after school and sometimes I had meetings.

We entered into the students common room and spotted him at our usual spot together with his two best friends Jake and Ari.

And before you start questioning why he has a female bestfriend,it is because they both grew up together.Their parents were best friends.And Jake was Ari's boy friend.Moreover,Ari was a girls girl , through and through.

"Hey y'all",Maya and I said in unison as I sat by my Maxton and Maya sat by me.

"Hey",they all responded .

"Baby,you have no idea how much I missed you",Maxton said pulling me onto his laps.

"But we saw each other last night",I replied blushing and giggling.

"Yeah,but somehow, I still do", Maxton started peppering my face with kisses.

"Ughh,you both should get a room", Maya said with a gagged expression.

We both burst out laughing.Jake and Ari were not even listening.They were also in their own world.

Maya got up and said she promised to meet someone before class and left.Followed by Jake and Ari who also gave an excuse about going to the library before heading to class.

We all knew that was a white lie.They were going to find an empty classroom to make out.

At this point,it was also time for my class so Maxton walked the distance with me.

The rest of the day passed away in a blur as I slept through most of my lessons in class.I met up with Maxton and Maya for lunch .

After school closed ,I drove Maya home as her mom could not pick her up.

I then made my way home but not before passing by my favourite cafe for cappuccino.

I loved loved my cappuccino.You could poison me with it .

I did not think I could handle another round of their crazy fights.

I made my way to I and Maxton 's secret place.He was having practice today and Maya was babysitting her little brother.

So yeah, I was pretty much alone and lonely.My parents were rich and gave me any material thing I desired.But oddly enough,they could not give me the one thing I really wanted.

A stable home.

I sat there and took in the ambience of the place.It was a little clearing in the forest reserve that had a pond by it.

I sat by it and drank my cappuccino musing about life and daydreaming about a peaceful home.

I finished my cappuccino and saw that it was getting dark.

I got up from the ground and dusted my skirt.I then made my way to my car and started driving home.

As I entered the gates of our mansion,I could not believe what my eyes were seeing .
