2. His fiancée?

When Mia turned and saw the men, her eyes widened in surprise over their sudden appearance.

As her grandfather's most favorite grandchild, and as a fact that she lived with him all her life, she immediately recognized them.

The younger, taller and really handsome man having a firm build and a confident aura, with his darkbrown hair in a taper-fade cut and dressed in a black three-piece suit, was none other than the famous Aziz Garrett, the CEO of G-tex Corporation. One of the largest and top most successful company in South Lake Union extending all over Seattle and even Washington at large.

Aziz Garrett was grandfather Mattio's most trusted business partner. Also, he shared a relationship somewhat similar to that of a 'grandson and a grandfather' with the late chairman.

The other man, with shiny black hair neatly combed back and dressed in a brown suit was Barrister Grey, her late grandfather's lawyer.

However, Mia wasn't the only one clearly familiar with the identities of these men or their positions in the society. A larger percentage of the Stewarts and their relatives, were also learned about the visitors.

They could all reason with the fact that he has the late chairman's Will but what they couldn't understand was what he meant when he referred to Mia as his fiancée.

But before Mia could say a thing or get over her thoughts about this situation, her Aunt, Meredith was at it again.

"And who are you? What right do you have to barge in a family's private discussion?" Meredith was saying.

"Mom stop!" Riley hurriedly tried to stop her mother from talking further. "How can you not know him? He's Aziz Garrett, the CEO of G-tex Corporation and the youngest billionaire in the entire Seattle. His company is a major partner of our BigBest Corporation. Also, he was grandfather's most trusted business partner. Actually, he shared a much more closer relationship with grandfather. How don't you know all these?"

Hearing her daughter's words, Meredith almost couldn't believe her ears. This was the man she's tried to make several business connections with in the past but was never successful in securing a deal with his company. She never thought of him to be so... young.

A lot of scheming ideas quickly ran through her mind as she now stared with excitement at him. But suddenly, she recalled his words.

"Mr Garrett, it's a pleasure to meet you." Meredith started, smiling fawningly at him. "I apologize for my behaviour earlier, I didn't think my late father would have let an outsider have his Will. The other Mister beside you must be Barrister Grey, his lawyer. Nice to meet you two gentlemen." She paused and glanced around the audience of relatives, her eyes briefly hanging on Mia before she returned her attention to Aziz.

Meredith felt an odd premonition just now after recalling Aziz's statement earlier. Desperately, she wished nothing of such would happen.

"You made use of the word fiancée earlier. By that, are you implying that you're engaged with one of the Stewart daughters?" She continued.

"That's right, Mrs Piper." The young man replied, making everyone stunned once more.

   Who is it?

   Or is it really Mia?

The Stewarts looked amongst themselves in wonder. Particularly, the daughters of Meredith's other siblings. On searching amongst themselves and finding no answers, they all slowly turned their eyes to the one granddaughter who was yet to say a word. From all indications, they felt Aziz must be talking about her.

On finding several peers of eyes on her, Mia was equally flustered to the point she was speechless.

She turned her attention to the young man who was no stranger to her and saw the gentle smile in his eyes.

'What's this? What's this odd feeling I'm getting from staring at him? Grandfather, what have you done?!'

Mia was yet to find answers to her own questions when Meredith's voice broke through her thoughts once more.

"Is it...is it her?" Her aunt asked unwillingly, motioning in her direction.

Aziz Garrett nodded in the affirmative. "Yes. My fiancée is none other than Mia Stewart, the eldest grandchild of the late chairman." He said.

Mia's almond shaped eyes widened in instant shock and disbelief. "Aziz what the heck are you doing?!" She stood up from her seat instantly.

She was more stupefied when on glancing questioningly at Xara, she saw the subtle acknowledging nod Xara gave her. Same reaction she got from Butler Hale, standing some distance away.

Not bothering to wait for Aziz's reply, she stormed off the large living room. Her mind was in total chaos right now. How could grandfather do such a thing to her? And without even a warning? In just several hours, her life was already turned upside down.

She was yet to get over the shock of his sudden death or the fact that he had been ill and kept it a secret to her until his death, and now this weird tale of her being a fiancée to someone she's barely made communications with. Just what in the world was grandfather plotting before he died?!

It's barely been seven hours since the news of his death reached her yet she had to learn of something so unbelievable.

'Hmmph! This better be a joke!' She screamed inwardly as she felt an emotional conflict once again.

Mia was already out of the main villa and was now hurrying towards the quiet garden behind the villa which overlooks a lovely lake, when someone suddenly pulled her arm from behind, forcefully stopping her on her tracks.

"What the hell is this news Mia?! How could you do such a thing to me?!"
