~Aria~

“I Alpha Damon Luther accept you Aria Samuel as my mate,” Damon gritted his acceptance in one sentence and with nothing hatred.

With a clenched jaw, he strode towards me covering the distance between us. And in another quick movement, he leaned into my neck. Feeling a sudden sensation, I was startled and my body instantly responded by attempting to flinch back.

But he caught me, held me and brought me to steady.

“Stay still,” his voice rumbled deep in the scruff of my neck, sending jolts of sensations across me.

I heard his wolf growl and my wolf growled back in response. In a heartbeat, he buried his fang in my neck and marked me.

The silver thread immediately locked, bounding us as mates. My wolf gave a low growl. A growl filled with uncertainty for our future.

It was supposed to be a moment of joy and bliss. It probably would have been, even if it lasted only for a few moments. If Damon didn't just straighten up and walk out of the hall leaving me on the altar in front of everyone.

Like he didn't just claim me as his mate. I had been humiliated many times in my life but this one hit me the most.

Beatrice came to my side in time and I held onto her. Just before I finally gave up the will to stay strong and unfazed, she helped me back to my chambers.

“He's still young. He's only nineteen. He will learn with time,” she tried to comfort me. “You must be strong for yourself and for your wolf.”

Tears rolled down my cheeks in streams.

I couldn't comfort myself let alone my wolf.

I couldn't help it. The pain was unbearable.

Maybe it was because I didn't expect that my most anticipated wedding day would be this humiliating. Or that the boy that I fell in love with two years ago would look at me with eyes that could murder.

He might as well have rejected me. Then I wouldn't have to be in this pain. Then I wouldn't have to scramble for the right words to comfort my wolf.

A knock sounded on the door.

Beatrice looked at me as if to tell me to tuck in my weakness–my tears.

Before she opened the door, I drew the curtains closed.

“Lady Bertha wants her in the Alpha's chamber now,” one of the maids that walked in informed.

“First of all, she's not ‘her’ , she's Luna Aria. And secondly, this is supposed to be her wedding night meaning the Alpha is supposed to come to her chambers…”

Beatrice was saying but was cut short by the scornful snickers of the maids.

“You still haven't come to your senses? She's nothing but a sacrifice offered to save her useless pack. The Alpha does not care about her. So either tell her to meet him in his chambers or forget about getting any cock for herself in this miserable marriage of hers.”

“And if she's lucky, she will only end up becoming one of his whores. Although I doubt she will even make it as one. Not while lady Bertha is alive,” the second maid added. They chuckled, their tone filled with mockery.

Behind the curtains, my fist curled. But before I could react, Beatrice acted.

“Shut your mouth, you both!” Beatrice growled at them.

I chuckled, but sadly. At least someone was defending me.

The two snickered and sashayed off.

“Don't tell me you are obeying her orders?” Beatrice frowned when she came back in and saw me preparing.

“You won't go there. You have no idea what Bertha is planning. She's a witch,” she protested.

I smiled, once again grateful to have her. “There's only much a witch can do. Thanks for looking out for me, Beatrice, but this is my fight.”

She sighed, but nodded. “Yes my luna.”

“You heard them Beatrice. I'm not the Luna yet. You can just keep calling me Lady Aria. Or even better, just Aria is perfect.”

I slipped into a satin long flowing night gown. Then draped a silk white robe over it.

Damon’s Chambers was opposite to my own but in the same wing of the mansion. So it didn't take me long to arrive.

Just before I walked through the main entrance doors, strange sounds coming from the room drifted into my ears. I felt the pit of my stomach knot. My wolf winced. As if she was warning me to either abort mission or brace for the worst.

Dreading the worst, I slowly walked in.

Only to be greeted by a shocking sight.

Damon’s bedroom doors were wide open, moaning sounds filled the air. Seated on a gigantic chair was him, legs spread wide apart and in-between, a girl bent in his crook with his member buried in her mouth.

Two other girls ghosted over him, one caressing his exposed chest and the other nimbling on his ears.

They were moaning loudly and muttering dirty and nasty words. Like when a whore was trying really hard to please their customer.

My wolf growled, furiously. It was the first time she would be reacting this violently ever since the wedding humiliation.

I swallowed painfully, frozen on the spot.

Suddenly, someone breezed past me. It was Bertha.

She stormed into the bedroom.

“Get out all of you!” She growled at the whores, her eyes fiery.

Judging by the way she was in rage, she was as shocked as I was. I bet she had wanted me to walk in on her making out with Damon but got a surprise herself.

As soon as the girls scampered out, she sneered and slammed the door to my face.

As she slammed the door to my face, a sense of rage overtook me. My wolf wriggled to be let out causing my body to vibrate and my eyes glowing.

How dare she! I was the Alpha's wife now and she was only his concubine. I did not deserve anymore of this humiliation!

I stormed towards the door and pushed it open.

The stupid bịxch has taken over from where the whores stopped. I looked at Damon, in the smallest and faintest of hope expecting him to speak up for me.

But his eyes merely narrowed, his forehead furrowing in a thick frown. As if disgusted by my presence alone, he stood up, slipped on his robe and marched out of the room.

It was as if my airflow had been restricted. I couldn't breathe.

Even though I wasn't expecting him to welcome me with wide arms and smiling face, I still didn't expect this from him.

But still…it was our wedding night. It was supposed to be our wedding night and the least he could do after humiliating me in front of everyone was not humiliate me the second time in front of his concubine.

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Unexpected Mates

~Aria~“Emily won't see me. She won't open the door for me. She won't answer me,” Damon bemoaned when he came back from Emily's quarters. I was in the Alpha office waiting to hand over the Alpha duties back to him. Logan and Xander were present as well. Immediately he said those words, Xander and Logan glanced towards me. I looked away, a silent growl rumbled in my chest. Who would break the news to Damon?I couldn't bring myself to. I hated Emily, but I knew how much Damon genuinely cared for her. To the point of risking his life to save her. How could I tell him she was now crippled with a scarred face and was seriously depressed?“You know, you all are acting really strange,” Damon said, his eyes darting from me to Xander and back to Logan. "Something's wrong, right?” His eyes narrowed. They were fixed on me now. The files in my hands suddenly felt very heavy. I dropped them and leaned up, avoiding his peering eyes. He turned to Logan, jaw locking. “Logan, I command you. Sp

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Father

~Damon~The moment Emily flew out of the car as the car refused to brake, I panicked. It was my fault. I should never have allowed her to sit in the car without her seatbelt. No matter what. Now I must protect her. Because her father would have done the same for me or my father if the roles were changed. So I jumped out of the car. As I descended, I sighted a stone. It was smooth, glinting against the sunlight, as though it were inviting me.But I didn't focus on it. My eyes only glanced at it as my attention pulled back to Emily—she was almost landing, face first, on a rock. And without thinking, I dived. To catch Emily. It was supposed to be body first. Until my head crashed into something hard. So hard the pain numbed me for a moment. My hands were wrapped around Emily, protecting her as excruciating pain travelled within me. I realized then, that I'd bumped my head into the glinting stone I saw as I descended. Emily was alright. She did not injure herself. But my head

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Special moments

~Aria~Pack Doctor stared gloomily at me, and immediately I felt my breath sink into my stomach. Then it hit me—his warning when Damon was first brought in.Has Damon lost his memories?Has he really forgotten everything about me?For a long, silent moment, I could think of nothing. I waited to feel the anguish from my wolf, to feel her sad growl. But I felt nothing. Only the excitement and the bond that had firmly snapped into place. And in that moment, I thought of all the memories we'd shared, the memories that formed our path and finally brought us together. From the moment he’d walked into that hall and claimed me as his mate, from the moment our bond became one, from the moment he made those promises to me—No!It couldn't be. He couldn't forget everything now. I turned to Pack doctor. “Did you run every test? How long will it take for him to regain his memories?”Pack doctor shook his head. “Only the goddess and the Alpha’s will can tell.”Meaning it could take forever.

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Awake

~Aria~“A different Pack scent is present in the accident scene,” Xander announced. Immediately, a low growl rippled inside me. My wolf had awoken.“What does that mean?” I asked, even though my head was already swirling. “Someone else was there when the accident happened. Someone from another Pack,” Logan said. “That much I can tell. Who exactly could that be? Which Pack are they from? Do you think it has links to what Emily said?”“We are not sure yet. We have to keep investigating.”“Find out the pack he is from. Then we'll take it up from there.”“What if it's from the enemy Pack?” Logan asked.“No, I know that scent,” Xander chirped, his voice clipped at the edge.We turned towards him.Xander did not speak. His eyes stared distantly. A hollow silence hung in the air. “That is the Crescent Moon Pack scent,” he finally said. “Crescent Moon Pack…” I knew the Pack. I knew that I knew it. But all of a sudden, it sounded alien. “The dead Alpha Jamie's pack,” Logan said, his

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Missing him

~Aria~“It was sabotaged!” Emily screamed as the guards made to roll her out. I was already headed to my seat, but I stopped and turned. “What do you mean by that?” I questioned, my eyebrows furrowing. “Believe me. This accident was staged by someone. The car was sabotaged. I'm certain of it.”“What proof do you have?”“Proof? Do you need proof to investigate this? Are my words not proof enough?” she slammed. “I've learned to trust nothing that came out of your mouth. Don't blame me.”“You have to question everyone in the Pack.”“That's impossible. And you know it.”“Impossible? Why do you act uninterested? Don't you wish to punish the one responsible for putting Damon in that bed?”I looked at her, and at that moment, my fingers itched to curl tight around her neck. Was she shamelessly blind to her sin or just acting plain dumb?If there was anyone to blame for Damon lying in that bed, it was no one else but her. But what did I expect? She wanted to pin it on a non-existent pers

  • A Bride For The Ruthless Alpha    Once powerful, now confined

~Aria~The wheelchair rolled out, and inside it, sat Emily. I stared down, my mouth parting in shock. The once powerful and agile Emily Vesper confined to a wheelchair was a sight I never imagined. It wasn't just that. Her face…Her face was now unrecognizable. Half of it had been scarred beyond recognition. And although she covered her hair with a hat, a few strands strung out. They were not bright yellow and sparkling like before. Her blonde hair was gone. She spoke first. “Speechless now, huh,” she mumbled. Even her voice seemed to have changed as well.“Still doesn't change the fact you are the cause of all this.” I wanted to say—“What exactly happened?” I asked instead. She scoffed. “Like you care. Aren't you jubilating now, huh!”I looked at her, something bitter stirring in my chest. “Jubilating? How dare you mention that word when someone is in a coma because of you!”“Oh don't you dare pretend you aren't happy I'm like this,” she sneered. “But don't worry, I can kill
