CHAPTER 5

"Thank you so much, sir, for this" She said with gratitude.

"Well, let's go" he said

walking out of the private room at the Bella Venezia Restaurant.

"W-where are we going, sir?" she asked.

"I'd like to treat you for doing a good job" he said, opening the car door.

She seemed overwhelmed by his generosity - a promotion and a treat? Should she feel hesitant or accept it?

"Ah, yes, thank you so much again, sir" she said.

As he got into the car, he started the engine.

[Equestrian Riding Horses Area]

Samantha was amazed by the vastness of the place and the white and black horses running around in the riding area.

"Wow, all my life I've never been to places like this" she exclaimed.

When he parked the car in the parking lot, he immediately got out and She followed him to the riding area.

"Good morning, Yzak. It's good to see you here. It's been a long time since we last challenged each other riding horses" Mark said

The owner of Equestrian Riding Horses and a friend of him.

"It's good to see you too, Mark" Yzak replied.

"And who is this girl?" Mark asked.

"She's my secretary. I want to ride your new stallion horses" he said.

As he rode his horse, he noticed that she is coming out of the changing room. She wore a red riding outfit complete with breeches, jodhpurs, chaps, and riding boots and looked perfect in it. he stared at her captivated by her appearance in the riding uniform.

"Do you know how to ride a horse?" he asked.

"Ah, no, sir... CEO" She replied.

"Call me by my name" he said in a serious tone

"Ah, yes, sir... Y- Yzak" she stuttered, feeling shy about calling him by his name.

He approached her on horseback and offered his hand and samantha took it and he pulled her up onto the horse, positioning her in front of him. In this position he's chest was almost pressed against her back making her feel uncomfortable.

!Uh, what is he doing? I feel nervous in this position, and it's even more uncomfortable being so close. It's embarrassing! she thought

Her face slowly turning red. As he rode the horse she closed her eyes and tightly grasped the reins near the horse's ears.

!Is he trying to kill me with fear?! she thought, as he made the horse run fast.

She was breathless from the horse's rapid pace around the riding area.

"Are you okay?" he asked and suddenly stop the horse.

!Are you insane?! she wanted to shout. !You're asking if I'm okay when I can barely breathe?!Instead she gave him a furious look.

Yzak got off the horse and offered his hand to help her down.

"I...I'm okay, I can walk myself, thank you" she said irritably, not wanting to accept his help.

However, when he noticed her legs trembling, he suddenly pulled her hand and lifted her down from the horse.

"But, sir" she protested but Yzak didn't listen and continued walking with her in his arms until they reached a seat, where he gently set her down.

"I'm okay, sir, thank you" she said again.

!Why is he so cold? He doesn't show any expression on his face; he's always serious! she thought.

!And why did it turn out like this? I thought he'd treat me to food or something at a restaurant, not take me horseback riding when I don't even know how to ride! she said on her mind

She let out a sigh of relief after what happened, feeling like she was going to faint from the intense fear that made her heart pound.

After they rode horses around 3 pm in the afternoon, Yzak and Samantha left the Equestrian Riding Horses Area. She came home safe but looked haggard and sweaty.

[On the next day]

After the project was done, Samantha got the promotion and celebrated with her team in the marketing department.

"Congratulations to us, and also to Samantha! We did it well!" Kelsey exclaimed.

"And she also got a promotion" Dave added.

"You know what, guys? I couldn't have done this without your help. I'm so lucky to have teammates like you" She said with a smile.

"Well, let's celebrate for it!"

After receiving recognition for their excellent work on the project, their CEO let them off work early. They headed to Daeyang Korean Food Restaurant to celebrate their success.

"So Samantha, what happened during your meeting with Sir Yzak and the other CEOs?" Kelsey asked.

She let out a sigh as she recalled what happened at the Equestrian Riding Horses Area.

[A week later]

Her work at Henriad Corporation was yielding good results, and her job ratings had increased as a freshmen employee. She even got a promotion on her first project in the marketing department with her team.

"Samantha" Kelsey called out while working on her computer.

"Yes, Kelsey?" she answered

"Secretary Kristine told me to bring this file to Sir Yzak, and you're supposed to deliver it to his office" Kelsey said, handing her the files.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah" Kelsey replied.

After receiving the files, She headed straight to his office.

"You know, Kelsey, I'm curious about our CEO" Dave said.

"He always calls Samantha to his office."

"Yeah, me too, Dave. I'm a bit curious" Kelsey replied with a smirk.

When She arrived at Yzak's office, she stopped at the door and started knocking.

"Sir, CEO" she said.

"Come in" he replied.

She entered the office, carrying the files, and handed them to him.

"Sir, Secretary Kristine told Kelsey to have me bring these files to you," she explained.

Yzak took the files and looked directly into her eyes making She feel uneasy.

"Sit" he said sternly.

"Sir?" She replied hesitantly.

"I said sit" he repeated

Taking a thick stack of files and placing them on the table in front of her.

"Check all the files here and revise them."
