My legs moved before my brain did.

One minute I was fighting off some wolves. And the next minute, I was standing right in front of the crystal.

The moment my fingers brushed the crystal, BOOM. Not a polite little ping—no, everything went wild. Walls, floor, air, the entire universe screaming like it had something to prove. Every sound I didn’t even know existed blasted in my ears.
