Chapter 4

Author: Simple Fish
Scarface didn't die in the end, but he would be bedridden for the rest of his life.

Dominic's sentence was immediately doubled.

But he didn't care at all.

After spending half a month in solitary confinement, he was sent back to his cell.

This time, the guards were smarter. They escorted him back personally and reinforced security around the cell.

Dominic sat on one side of the cell. The other seven inmates sat huddled on the opposite side, staring at him in fear.

All seven of them had been Scarface's men, but not a single one dared mention revenge anymore.

Dominic sat quietly for a moment, then suddenly stood up and looked at them.

"I heard you all wanted to kill me to avenge Scarface."

All seven jumped in fright and waved their hands at once.

"No, no, absolutely not!"

Dominic's expression did not change as his gaze swept over them.

"You've probably heard about my situation. My parents died because of me, and I don't plan on living much longer.

"But dying alone is lonely. If I can drag a few people down with me before I die, at least I'll have company. Right?"

Their faces went completely pale.

Facing someone who didn't care about their life, what difference did numbers make?

They couldn't kill Dominic. They still wanted to finish their sentences and get out someday.

But Dominic was different. Right now, he was bent on self-destruction and didn't care at all whether he ever got out of prison.

If he were given even the slightest chance to strike, he would hit without holding back. No one could take that.

Scarface was the perfect example.

One sharper inmate forced a flattering smile.

"Mr. Clarke, you misunderstood. Scarface was always bullying people. We couldn't stand him either. What you did was like getting revenge for us. We should be thanking you.

"From now on, you're our boss. Whatever you say goes. Right, guys?"

The others hurriedly nodded and called Dominic "Boss".

Dominic spat on the ground and snapped, "A bunch of cowards. Get lost!"

They dared not argue. They curled up in the corner with their heads lowered, too scared to even climb onto their bunks.

From that moment on, Dominic became the unquestioned leader of the cell.

And his intimidation far exceeded Scarface's.

A single glance from him was enough to make them tremble.

The next morning, at breakfast.

Dominic carried his tray into the cafeteria, instantly drawing everyone's attention.

Scarface had about 30 followers in this prison. The men in Dominic's cell were terrified of him, but inmates from other cells still glared at Dominic with open hostility.

Dominic ignored them. He filled his tray and walked straight to a table.

Sitting there were Scarface's men, and none of them were from Dominic's cell.

In the past, these people had ordered Dominic around and beaten him plenty of times.

Now Dominic stopped in front of them and stared at them coldly.

They immediately got angry. One burly man glared at him and started shouting, "What are you staring at, you idiot—"

Before he could finish, Dominic moved.

His right hand flicked, and a thin, narrow stone slipped out of his sleeve.

It was something Dominic had picked up while working outside.

One end had been sharpened smooth and deadly.

After Dominic blinded Scarface, the prison banned forks, so he had to find another weapon.

During his time in the infirmary, Dominic had studied medical books and memorized many fatal weak points of the human body.

He stepped forward and, in one lightning-fast motion, drove the stone into the man's neck and slashed sideways.

The man clutched his throat and collapsed, his body convulsing violently.

The others froze in shock, but Dominic didn't hesitate.

He grabbed another man by the neck and stabbed again.

This one reacted quickly and blocked the blow. The stone punched through his palm, making him scream in pain.

"Help! Somebody help!"

Only then did the others snap out of it and rush in to attack Dominic together.

The way Dominic fought was clean and brutal. He protected his head with one hand while holding the stone with the other, slashing into several men's thighs.

Outnumbered, Dominic took some hits, but the others were injured far worse.

Luckily, the guards arrived in time and beat Dominic down with batons.

Thomas rushed over, veins bulging on his forehead as he roared, "Dominic, are you trying to get yourself killed?

"I'm reporting everything you've done! If you keep this up, you'll get the death penalty for sure!"

Dominic clenched his teeth, blood streaming down his forehead as he enunciated, "Then you'd better hurry. If you're too slow, I'll kill every last one of them."

Seeing the ferocity in Dominic's eyes, the injured men backed away in terror.

As for the inmates from Dominic's cell, they were secretly relieved they hadn't provoked him.

This incident earned Dominic another two weeks in solitary confinement.

But it also made him infamous, the madman no one in the prison dared mess with.

On the first day Dominic was released from solitary confinement, Scarface's remaining men approached him together, apologizing and begging him to show mercy.

They all knew Dominic wanted to die. No one dared challenge a man like that.

After bringing the prison inmates into line, Dominic went to find Hart again.

"Hart, I survived. Now it's time you tell me how to get out of here."

Hart smiled faintly at him and nodded in satisfaction.

"Not bad, kid. You did better than I thought.

"Alright. You've proven yourself. I'll keep my word. Create an opportunity for me, and I'll get you out."

Dominic looked at him.

"What kind of opportunity?"

Hart replied calmly, "Throw the prison into chaos. Something that makes everything go crazy and draws all the guards' attention. Then come with me to the kitchen during the confusion."

Hart patted Dominic on the shoulder.

"Your job is to cause the chaos. If you can do that, I can get you out."

Dominic thought for a moment, then nodded slowly.

"Alright. I'll get it done."

Dominic turned and walked away.

Hart watched his back with a sly smile.

The notebook mainly recorded transfer logs and various transaction records. Each transfer entry had a receipt attached from the time the money was moved.Dominic didn't recognize any of the account names, but the amounts involved were enormous. The transfer records were only the beginning. Toward the back, there were photos. Those photos were far more direct. Most of them were explicit bedroom photos. They showed adults, sometimes men in their 50s or 60s, lying in bed with young, attractive women.Among those photos, Dominic even found pictures of Judy. She appeared in bed with at least a dozen different men.He also spotted bedroom photos of several celebrities.Dominic didn't fully understand the transfer records at the front. But looking at these photos, he could pretty much guess what they were about. There was no doubt Stanley had taken these photos. Those men were likely powerful figures. Stanley used young women to entertain them, secretly took photos, and then used

"Th-there's a safe upstairs," Nicholas stammered. "If you don't believe me, I-I'll open it right now and give you all the money inside."Besides, if you kill me, y-you won't make it out either. The cops will hunt you down!"Dominic said coldly, "You think I'm afraid to die?"My parents are dead. I never planned on living anyway."Killing you and your old man is how I avenge them. I don't mind going to meet them soon."Nicholas's face turned deathly pale. He hurriedly said, "Y-you're not afraid of dying, but what about your friend?"He helped you fight us. That makes him an accomplice. So many people died here. For an accomplice, how many years do you think he'd get?"Those words made Dominic stop mid-motion.He looked over at Hector. He wasn't afraid of dying himself, but with so many dead here, Hector definitely wouldn't walk away clean.Hector had fought Stanley just now. If law enforcement dug into this later, Hector could easily be labeled as his accomplice.Seeing Domin

Dominic kept his eyes locked on the two men while reaching down to pick up his shoe from the floor.Earlier, when that bodyguard grabbed his leg, he had yanked the shoe right off.Holding the shoe, Dominic backed up a few steps, then bent down as if to put it back on.The two bodyguards immediately seized the opening and charged together, raising their blades and hacking straight at Dominic.Just as they were about to reach him, Dominic, who had been crouched over, suddenly straightened up.He didn't put the shoe on at all. Instead, he yanked off his sock and swung it hard at the two bodyguards.Earlier, Dominic had stuffed a plastic bag full of lime inside that sock as well.Pretending to put his shoe on was just a cover so he could pull the bag out and get the lime ready. It was also meant to lure the two bodyguards closer. And sure enough, they charged right in.With a sharp flick of his wrist, the plastic bag inside the sock tore open, and the lime exploded outward in a w

Ignoring the pain, Dominic wiped the blood off his face hard, clenched his teeth, and struck again, slicing that bodyguard's throat as well. That situation didn't last long.In the end, Nicholas managed to drag Rowena over to the liquor cabinet. He grabbed a bottle and hurled it at one of the bodyguards. "Catch this!"The bottle slammed into the man's chest. His reaction was quick. He caught it immediately.Without hesitation, he popped the bottle open and poured the liquor straight over his face. The alcohol washed away the lime. His eyes still burned, but at least he could open them now.He wiped the residue off his face and shoved the bottle into another bodyguard's hands. "Wash your face! I'll deal with this guy first!"With that, he lunged toward Dominic. The other bodyguard took the bottle and did the same, splashing liquor on his face to clear the lime. The first bodyguard had already reached Dominic and slammed into him, tackling him to the ground.Seeing this, Nicho

The glasses Dominic had prepared ahead of time turned out to be useful. At least it blocked some of the lime powder. On top of that, he had smeared a lot of oil over his body earlier, including his face and even around his eyes.Lime can be wiped away with oil, so it barely affected him at all.The bodyguards, caught completely off guard, had lime burned into their eyes and couldn't see anything around them. With oil all over the floor, several of them slipped and fell in the chaos, turning the scene into a complete mess. While the bodyguards were busy squeezing their eyes shut and dodging the lime, Dominic charged straight into the crowd. The first ones he reached were two bodyguards desperately rubbing their eyes. Lime mixed with moisture made the pain unbearable, and they had no attention left for anything else.Dominic reached them and struck without hesitation, using both boning knives to slice their throats. They followed the same fate as the earlier guard, collapsing to

"You can't even begin to understand who's backing me," Stanley said coldly. "If I want you dead, it's no harder than stepping on a bug. Got it?"He waved a hand in irritation. "If you won't talk, I'm done asking."He turned to the bodyguards. "Take him out. We'll deal with the body later."As he spoke, he leaned in close to Dominic and let out a low, mocking laugh."See those two guys over there? They're the ones who killed your parents. And now you're dying by their hands, too."That makes a nice, clean circle for your family. Starts with them, ends with you."He laughed openly, smug and satisfied.Dominic's vision went red.He stared at the two men, the murderers of his parents, his gaze stripped of everything but murderous intent."Stanley!"Dominic barked the name like a curse.Stanley smirked. "What? Finally ready to talk?"He shook his head. "Doesn't matter now. I don't even care about that autopsy report anymore. I just want all of you dead. Burn the evidence and mov
